Reviewed By schyecWent for a 4day3night holiday. Stayed at a lovely cottage for our first 2nights at Samosir. Thinking it'd be convenient to go to the airport for our homeward bound on the last day, we decided to stay at Atsari Hotel, Parapat, the night before. Never would I knew, the irritatingly discomfort of itchiness and rashes would occur. Stayed at this hotel at the recommendation of our guide. The hotel was a total contrast of what we'd expect of a 2 to 3 star hotel and some of the good reviews we have read. I was very certain I got those rashes with an unbearable itch from the bed. And not forgetting the unpleasantness of being told the hotel has run out of hair shampoo. I'd not recommend this hotel to anyone who wish to stay at Parapat as there are other options we can pick from.

Room smelly
Reviewed By FennyWijayaRoom is very pricy, room's condition smells bad moreover the toilet smells cockroaches. When i move the rubbish bin in toilet, the floor is not clean. The stairs are very long, not suitable when you bring old people. View from second floor not too bad, if you wanna see nice view must go to third floor. Breakfast looks bad and already cold. Staff in omellete very dirty.

Old and bad service
Reviewed By tanpopokThe room is old and doesnt meet the standard for dimension (power outlet and switch are far from the bed). The reception kept my identity card during our stay. As we left, they forgot to give back my identity card and I have to go back from Balige to Parapat (spend more money in transportation).

Our hotel is strategically located near Parapat city, near the water cruise harbour, "Tiga Raja", near the ferry harbour "Ajibata", and near the Local food and market Center in "Tiga Raja" and "Parapat". They are within 1-15 minutes of walking
Wouldn't go back
Reviewed By therealchrisgrayVery disappointing. All we wanted was clean and basic accommodation for one night, but this was damp and grubby with no protection against mosquitos. The other guests were families who cooked in their rooms and left their rubbish piled up outside. We were woken from a pretty poor night's sleep not only by the muslim call to prayer, which happens everywhere in Indonesia, but also by the Christian community immediately afterwards. As far as I can tell their entire service was conducted via bullhorn, completely ruining what little peace remains in this over-built spot. Oh, and it's not within easy walking distance of Tigaraja. I enjoy a good walk, if I can get away from traffic, but this was a nightmare for me and much too far for my more normal companions.

Reviewed By am-thereWent here during high season where all other hotels are booked. Our room was horrible. No wifi in the room, bathroom was flooded and foul-smelling, only has 1 light bulb for entire room (yes, including bathroom), bed was dirty, no TV, no AC (cold enough though), no view. In the morning a very loud sermon was our unwanted morning call. Not sure if the higher category would be better, but definitely don't take the lowest category.
