Good but some things to settle

Rooms are good and clean, but in mine there are some things to settle in the bathroom: shower door was damaged and almost impossible to use; the microphone water switch does not work good. Sink drainage lost water under into the wall connection. Breakfast was rich but obiouvsly in Turkish tradition. Friendly staff and right price complete a positive judgment.

The negative side of the hotel was: they gave us the smokable room even without asking our preferences. we kindly ask them to change the bedlinen with new ones and the did it as soon as possible. The breakfast is just a bit point further than okay. The bed and the pillows were so soft. It was unconfortable to sleep

Short pleasant visit

I had seen this pretty hotel building over the many years and now when we needed a hotel in Ereğli this was the perfect opportunity to try it out. And we were not disappointed, we had a very pleasant stay. The room was on the top floor with a large balcony overlooking the park at the rear of the hotel. Consequently very quiet with no traffic noise. The room was very large and spacious with a large modern TV and small mini bar. The bed was large and comfortable. No need for the air conditioner at this time of the year but with warm radiators if necessary. Breakfast is excellent traditional Turkish fare, buffet style. Tea and coffee were supplied continuously and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is no lift as this is an old traditional Turkish mansion house. This was no problem for us on the top, second floor. There are ground floor rooms available. The hotel is quite central very close to the railway station and a few minutes walk from the town centre. There’s a Dolmus stop opposite the hotel that takes you to the coach station. All in all we had a most enjoyable stay and will use it again in future visits.

Reviewed By DrSincereTravellerI have enjoyed staying in this hotel when I visited Ereğli. It is close to city center, a museum, and the popular parks by the sea. You can be amazed by the friendly seagulls. The breakfast is sufficient and the hotel is clean. The staff is friendly.

Disappointing Azim
Reviewed By TurgutalpStayed just one night in huge front bedroom. Ghastly peeling dark wallpaper. Dirty shower. No towels and not enough pillows - we had to ask for all. Extremely basic and I would not like to return. Stale bread for breakfast and very basic food on offer. Little choice. Staff not particularly friendly or helpful. Difficult to give it even one star. However you could park outside which was helpful.
