Great location and stay, very comfortable in unit 326

Liked · The view was superb. Not having anyone living above was great, very quiet. Pet friendly was great and thank you for the welcome with dog treat. Our friends had no problem getting parking passes at the front desk for the day. Disliked · We have had our own rental at Big White in the past and so thought you should know a few things. The interior oven light does not work. The dishwasher needs a new spring in the door. There was no salt and pepper (we had to ask and got small packets from the front desk.

The good! True ski in, ski out. Right in the village. Quite a new, well built well maintained building. Has an elevator, heated underground parking and ski locker. We stayed in #308, a one bedroom, it was very clean. The furniture is very basic. It has a hide a bed and lazy boy chair in the living room and a dining room with 4 very hard wooden chairs and a smart tv, WiFi and Netflix . It has a private hot tub and barbecue on the deck with views of the mountains. The bathroom was very small with a single sink and combination tub and shower. The bedroom has a very comfy queen size bed. The not so good!, the kitchen! The appliances are very basic , the pots , pans, dishes, glasses, knives and misc cooking products were very poor. If you are planning to do a lot of cooking in, you wont be happy. We had to borrow from friends in another unit to make do. These units are privately owned but managed by central reservations. Central reservations were quick to respond to service requests but there was some confusion about those services. These units are expensive to rent and the owner needs to upgrade the items described.

We stayed here in January and had a great experience! The room we got had 2 queen beds. The room was huge! Definitely dated but the beds were comfortable. You can’t beat the location. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was delicious. Perfect place if you’re on a budget but want to enjoy the ski in/ski out experience.

Pleasant Stay

My wife and I took a trip to Big White and decided to stay at the Chateau Big White in mid December 2019. The hotel is conveniently located right beside the Plaza chair lift but you do need to go up a slight hill. The room was big enough for the two of us and it had the basics for what we needed. We were there primarily for the skiing but having a few more comforts would have been nice. The room we had did not have a full size fridge so we did have some trouble getting everything we needed stored for our stay. The gas fire place was nice to have but the room was always very warm so we hardly ever turned it on. We found it odd that there were no dressers or drawers to put anything in. Not a big issue, we just lived out of our suitcases. The hotel provided robes which was convenient for when we went to the outdoor hot tub. The hotel provided ski locks that could be used in the hotel ski locker when you store your skis overnight as well as on the mountain during the day. There was also free underground parking. Overall we had a great time at the Chateau Big White.

Great Stay, Top Floor Unit!

We rent unit #333 every year we can, but we had to take a hiatus because of Covid. The building is in the center of the village. In the building, there is also a market, coffee shop, and wine shop. The snow was great during our stay and was made even better by the slopeside access of the building. You literally clip in and ski down the from the front door. Unit #333 was perfect for our family and has amazing views of the ski run, village center, and Monashee Mountains. The bed was comfy and having a full kitchen let us enjoy some meals in. Booking through Big White Central Reservations was a breeze.
