This wine estate is considered to be the "gateway" to the Stellenbosch wine route and I believe it does the title justice.
We opted for a chocolate and wine pairing, whilst enjoying the truly beautiful surrounds.
The sommelier was knowledgeable and the wines were of reasonably good standard.
A lovely way to end a weekend with some close friends.

It is a picturesque wine estate featuring breath taking views over the Table Mountain,a game farm,a guest house,the Guinea fowl Restaurant,and is in close proximity to Cape Town.From a wine making perspective it is unique,being able to produce both excellent white and red wines.Tasting Room is open 7 days a week and offer a wide variety of exceptional wines to sample and purchase.

We have much enjoyed Saxenburg wines over the years, and thought to call in for a wine tasting followed by lunch during a brief stay in Cape Town. What a great choice that was. We were hosted by the courteous and knowledgeable MF and had some lovely wines in the Tasting Room. Then we had a fabulous lunch of steak and all the trimmings in the Grill. My wife reckoned it about the best she's ever had. I thought mine was excellent too. We were looked after in the Grill by Adrian, who was charming, intelligent, engaging and efficient. Thank you. All in all, it was a marvellous day out at this famous estate, an advert for the very best of South Africa.

Kuilsriver Golf Club was founded in June 1982 and is built on part of the old Hazendal Chateau farm, situated on the edge of the Cape’s winelands, the vineyards forming the backdrop to a number of well laid out fairways and greens. It is a par 72 course with several beautiful water features attracting an amazing selection of bird life. The greens are playable throughout the year due to the good drainage. Our well stocked Pro Shop offers a wide range of golf equipment.

For a small mall, it has major stores like Pick n Pay, Woolworths & Clicks, with food stores like Steers, Wimpy and Spur.
Most of the banks have ATM's here and all three major cell phone companies are represented.
Serving an ever growing housing and industrial sector, the mall has ample parking, although the single road entrance could be improved on.

Nice tartan track sports stadium for smaller athletic events. Can seat between 1000 - 2500 spectators. Good management and security arrangements. Toilets kept clean. Part of a larger sports facility.
