Certainly a place to visit for any occasion. The ambience has a relaxed feel with the staff being very friendly and helpful. Good choice of dishes either choosing from their set menu or ordering individual dishes. Not being a great lover of beef we were able to change it to another dish of our choice when ordering from one of the set menu's which we appreciated. Excellent position adjacent to the river Thames with parking to the rear of the building.

Beautiful restaurant, exquisite food and attentive service. All of these of course because it has 3 Michelin Stars and they are well deserved. Have eaten here at least 4 times and each time it has been a gastronomic experience.

The best English restaurant I have been to - highly recommended. Looks outside and inside like a good pub, with lots of dark wood. However, outstanding service and brilliant food - traditional British dishes with Michelin touches. Chefs tasting menu is £58 for 5 courses is good value.

Myself and my partner had a lovely evening meal here.
Great surroundings, decor and location.
We both had the sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly to our individual taste and offered with a variety of sauces and sides.
All courses were nicely presented and served with a smile by our very friendly and informative waitress.
Must return in the summer to make the most of the riverside location.

The food and service did not disappoint for an evening birthday celebration. All four of us had a three course meal and enjoyed everything immensely. The squid starter was excellent and everyone had the duck for their mains, leaving empty plates. All desserts were made in house and tasted delicious.
All the staff were very good, especially Jodie, anticipating any needs we had and giving detailed responses to any questions. We will absolutely be back here for our next special occasion - cannot recommend enough!

This was the best, biggest, weirdest and most expensive meal I will have in this lifetime. A true once in a life time experience: very glad to have done it and I have no need to do it again.
They do to food things which I did not know were possible: the result is not just dining: it is an endless feast for all the senses. The simplest dish was perhaps hot and cold tea. Hot and cold??? Yep, at the same time. Weird and wonderful.
The attention to detail is astonishing and they do their best to customise the meal to you.
My meal took five hours and three minutes from start to finish. It is a set menu, or journey, in seven chapters. Each chapter has several courses. By the end of chapter two I felt completely stuffed, even though I had not eaten earlier in the day. I was nowhere near the half way stage.
The only reason I kept going was that each course was sensational. I suspect them meal must come in at 6,000 calories, maybe more: it would be good to hear from the Fat Duck what the true calorie count is, especially with a wine pairing. Perhaps that is why it is called the Fat Duck: by the end of the meal you will be fat and you will waddle like a duck. You may want to think whether you are up for this eating assault course.
The wine pairing is good: we shared one between us, otherwise we would have been both drunk and fat.
The service is 100% impeccable.
I would go for lunch: if you are going to take five hours, you probably do not want to start at 8pm. Lunch also makes it easier to fast before hand and walk afterwards.
Easy to get to by public transport: train to Maidenhead and then walk for thirty minutes or a short taxi ride.

My Grandparents used to live in Littlewick Green, and Granddad would walk to the Dew drop for a pint or two. That would have been in the early 60s.
By the time it was my turn to discover Brakspears Ordinary, in the late 70s, we used to be regulars here, when it was "just" a pub. Having visited all 127 Brakspears tied houses at that time, teh Dew Drop was always a favourite.
40 years on, it's obviously changed a lot, but I am pleased to see that the beer is just as good, the welcome from the landlord and his team just as welcoming and now there's food to enjoy too.
The four of us had various meals that Saturday evening, some more successful than others. I'd leave the "Coq au Vin" alone next time, but the burger and fish and chips looked very good.
The best thing is that they are completely relaxed about having a dog in tow, so next time we make the 200 mile trip to visit my parents, we will take her along too.
We will be back.

We visited The Crown on Friday night and were immediately greeted with an atmosphere of positivity, fires alight and the sons and daughters smiling, this was the first time we have been since its refurbishment. They certainly have done a good job, while also retaining all its original character. The food was sensational, a scallop starter with a unique broth Flavoured with juniper! Just amazing! along with a good wine pairing of Riesling. So pleased they are going from strength to strength here, relaxed atmosphere, great food and wine.. offering absurdly good value considering the quality of produce and skill on display here.

I visited the Beehive with family and friends and had a lovely lunch. It was incredibly busy when we arrived and it took a while to take our order but the service from their onwards was excellent and very attentive. The food was absolutely beautiful with great flavours and beautifully presented. Visit if you can you will not be disappointed.
