A decent place for visiting Nemrut Mount
Reviewed By JayubestEuphrat Nemrut is located high in the hills. It is probably the closest hotel to the Nemrut Mount entrance (a 15-20 minute drive). The hotel terrasse offers amazing views of the valley below. Considering its location in the middle of nowhere, the hotel was decent: our room looked good, the dinner was tasty and staff was friendly. However, there are certain downsides you should be aware of: - there are plenty of insects in and around the hotel (a bit less in the morning); - the bathroom is very basic; - service is on and off (the bar was not always manned and restaurant service was bad/slow). If you want the comfort of a city hotel, it would be better to stay in a nearby town and travel to Mount Nemrut directly. But if transportation is complicated and you want to stay close to the mount, Euphrates Nemrut can still be a good choice. The hotel offers a minivan service to the mount entrance for 300 TRY. The road is quite dangerous (cliffs), so it might be a good idea to trust the experienced drivers.

Room was not in a functioning state and carpet in staircase dangerous
Reviewed By thimmel60There was no light in the toilet and the shower did not have warm water. The bed was only a wooden frame without slats, so that I had to pull the mattress down to the floor, but it was so worn out that I had a backache in the morning. The floor was not cleaned. The carpet on the stairs was loose so that it slipped away under my step when I walked down, so that I fell. The staff was friendly, but unreliable; I had booked a tour through them which started at 4 am, but they had wrongly told me that it would start at 2 am, so that I got up 2 hours too early.

Lovely stay
Reviewed By EarthysolWe had a great stay. The owner picked us up from the bus stop. I don’t think a lot of buses pass by around that area so that was very helpful. Peaceful location with good views from our room. The pension was clean and they treated us like family. Brekkie was included and his family prepared us some delicious dinners for an extra cost. He took us to Mt Nemrut and waited for us. He does tours to other places but that’s all we had time for. There was limited hot water since they might run on solar panels. The heater in our room was really nice and kept us warm. Wifi worked well downstairs. We were there during low/cold season so it was pretty quiet but there were still a few travellers to meet and chat with. Not much around town but a little market and some restaurants that were closed but It was really nice seeing how people lived in that small town. We felt comfortable and the owner speaks good English. His son is the sweetest. Thank you again!

Reviewed By panrupEven if you are not with a car, they can arrange transportation to you to Nemrut site.For dinner, expect an extremely tasty and fresh trout just removed from a mountain stream in the pension's yard.The breakfast consists of fresh organic produce from the village.The rooms are simple but clean, with bathrooms and also very quiet, so you can relax very well at about 2000m altitude.They can also offer you a tour of all the interesting places in the area.The sunrise, the stunning mountain views and the warm welcome leave unforgettable memories of visiting Nemrut Dağı.
