A very nice hotel
Reviewed By brit933We stayed at the hotel for three nights, and it was great. Staff was very helpful, and the setting close to the canal is beautiful. There is a small wellness department with a pool, a sauna and a finnish sauna. Bevause of the corona, we could book the pool for an hour for the family alone, so we felt quite safe. In the restaurant, we were given time slots, so not too many people would arrive at the same time, which worked very well.

Reviewed By Maj_Lis2013The staff is really sweet and nice. Breakfast is fine and abundant, but dinner is well below the median. But it was cheap, what can you expect for 1400 kr. There was very quiet at the hotel, almost too quiet. There were closed at 21 in the restaurant / bar, so no chance to get a cup of coffee and a cozy drink with other guests. Since our stay was in early February, was almost the whole town closed in a Sleeping Beauty sleep. So a little boring "holiday". But believe it's a really nice place in summer :-)

A bit too far from town to be close
Reviewed By Marit HThe hotel is - as stated - located 0,7 km from Friedrichstadt - as the crow flies or the fish swims, but 5 km as the car drives. As we drove up to the hotel, my companion cried: "This can't be it, it's a farm!" It is a traditional farmhouse turned into a hotel with a very nice view of the town - which is so near and yet so far away. The room was nice and clean, mattresses very good and a very modern bathroom. Unfortunately we could hear everything that was going on next door, as there was a door between the rooms. Breakfast was fine, not as sumptuous as at certain other German hotels, but that was fine with us. But the coffee was bitter, and the tea-water hadn't been boiling. The staff was friendly and speaks Danish. Warning: Don't drink their Rosé - unless you've got a VERY sweet tooth!

Reviewed By 750falkThe location could not be better. The hotelrooms are modern, nicely furnished and great beds. Breakfast is served in the old part of the hotel. Buffet and you order your eggs to the very nice hostess.
