Reviewed By louisaf898For parents who want some good R&R I would highly recommend. The kids center is fully equipped with modern activities and trained staff to take care of your toddler's. My four year old had the best getaway. Plenty of safe outdoor play time activities too. Separate toilet's, pool table for adults, huge flat screen tvs, story books, puzzles, trampoline and ball pit with much more. Loved the three pools, the bars and service from staff, cleanly, they fumigate daily so lovely not to have flies or mosquitos. Good variety of food too

Everything was perfect, from the kindness of the staff to the food to waking up each morning in a jungle paradise. We really loved all of the meals, the fresh coconuts and the design of the place. I can't recommend this place enough. It's paradise! We can't wait to visit again soon ?

Beautiful hotel and lovely staff
Reviewed By 957carmenmarianWe had initially booked at the sister hotel in a street facing room but had a free upgrade to an ocean facing room at the Lantern Boutique. We stayed for 5 nights and had the best time. The room had a great view, it was clean and spacious. There were also two adorable and friendly dogs that liked to hang out by the beach area of the hotel. The ocean wasn’t swimmable this time of year, but we were happy with the pool and there were other beaches a few minutes away that were safe for swimming. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, they arranged everything for us to go to Yala national park and even packed breakfast for us to take with since we had to leave really early. The restaurant and bar at the hotel were also really nice, we loved the Lantern breeze cocktails, hot butter calamari, and Sri Lankan breakfast. There are also lots of other nice restaurants and bars in walking distance. We had a very memorable experience and will definitely return next time we are in Sri Lanka!

Beautiful Retreat in Paradise!
Reviewed By RoseCrumptonThis was our first stop during our stay in Sri Lanka and - wow! It was absolutely perfect! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the beach was incredible. Comfy sun-loungers, delicious cocktails, big comfy beds, and unbeaten views! What more could you want?! There were a few power cuts but this couldn't be helped by the staff as it is a country-wide issue. They were helpful in giving us lanterns and candles when the power would go in the evenings. The breakfasts were delicious and the location was perfect - lots of lovely beach bars along from the resort! Our favourite was the Lounge! Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Sri Lanka!

Wavelength to the rescue!

The staff at Wavelength were so understanding and made us feel extremely welcome. We were given a downstairs room as I couldn't manage the stairs, and it was perfect! Clean bedding, great AC and fan and just by the pool. This hotel is a little gem, within easy reach of the beach and restaurants. The staff here are so accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. The pool is clean, and towels are provided. Thank you all for understanding our situation and making what could have been an absolute disaster into a most welcome stay. Breakfast was the basic eggs, fruit, toast and jam, but all served with a smile. Thank you guys for getting us out of what could have been a distasterous trip. We booked for a whale watching trip online with Raja and the Whales.com, excellent!

Exceptional staff
Reviewed By LauBankThe property is beautiful with a great pool, and the breakfast was delicious - but it’s the staff who really made our stay exceptional. I had a medical issue (not at the hotel) which impacted the next part of our holiday, and the concierge, Gayan, went above and beyond to help us - we were really blown away and so grateful for his help, without which we would have been in a really sticky situation. Afterwards the whole team were really kind checking I was ok and helping us with everything. Highly recommend this place. More broadly - as others have mentioned the electricity can cut out which can be frustrating, but it’s also something we’ve noticed everywhere we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka, so seems more like a country wide problem. We used the free tuk tuks to the beach junction which was handy, but also often walked down too - it’s quite rural and beautiful (we saw monkeys one day!) and got lots of friendly waves and hellos from kids who lived on the route. All in all it’s a really nice place, highly recommend.

Good place to stay for a beach resort.

Rooms are built around a nice garden and pool and the area is quiet - surprising since it’s only a two minute walk to the beach. Good to get separate pool and beach towels. The owner, Maria, is very helpful and is always around. It is getting to the point where it needs some redecorating and basic maintenance, but it is still a charming place to stay.

Reviewed By Traveller150794Loved our stay at crescent resort. Great location between unawatuna and Galle. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The manager Kaisan was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him each day. He was helpful with anything and everything we asked and really did his best to make the stay as great as possible.
