Fantastic view and cozy ambiance with spacious and clean room, helpful and professionals staff particularly Ms. Amber from the club who helped me to arrange the birthday Staycation with our dear friends. Also Mr.Ian in the buffet dining who prepared a beautiful cake for the celebrant. This place is really one of our favourite place to unwind and relax next to the sea. Reviewed By 976ranwWife and I stayed for a leisure weekend for 3 nights - we chose this resort by pure accident, and it ended up with a beautiful surprise. It is low season, and there were only limited visitors before Christmas holiday . While the location is a bit remote, we are very happy by their service and their genuine desire to make guests happy. We tried the Chinese restaurant at 2nd floor (bamboo garden) 2 times plus one room services - and samples all the traditional “Kejia” dishes. Foods are very tasty and the service are very attentive. Front desk recognized our status well , and helped with all the upgrade and personal preferences. Many staff remember our room number and names - quite impressive. Front desk - David and Ken, breakfast - Susan, and all staff in bamboo garden made our stay overwhelmingly memorable! We will definitely return in the future , and recommend to our friends.

Relaxing lake-side location
Reviewed By travelworld1170Ok, good to manage expectations with this place first. It’s isn’t the most glamorous resort you’ll find....even for a Sheraton. It looks like it as part of an overall housing and recreation area around “Bailuhu” has underperformed....the housing looks substantially empty, the grocery store has closed, and the hotel itself seems like it’s only using a fraction of its total space (parking,restaurants, recreation space). But - it’s all still quite well kept. Maybe there’s a busier season? The rooms seemed well cared for and perfectly clean (which in my experience isn’t always 100% the case in underperforming 4/5 star properties in China). The breakfast selection was among the smallest I’ve seen in this type of hotel, but at least things were hot and seemed fresh. We did eat a quick lunch at the hotel which was the most underwhelming part...slow initial service, and over-priced as you’d expect. Seemed to be a lot of people visiting with Meituan coupons. Probably my favorite part overall was the lake location - good landscaping, nice areas to walk and bike around, and all just a few kilometers from the expressway (and a sub-2 hour drive from most of Shenzhen). Probably a good place for conferences or even just spending time with family on a quick getaway.

Reviewed By emmanuelv592I came here 12 years ago, 12 years after... very poor maintenance, poor service, beach horrible, have to wait half an hour to get hot water, the hotel needs a total reconstruction! And the worst it was expensive although we booked 24 rooms !!!

Our room which was a 01 room barely had any signal, we had to go to the coffee shop to work because of this. Their lobby coffee shop has no idea what a latte or cappuccino are, we were served black coffee with awful foam. We arrived for breakfast at 7:30 and most of the food was cold already, and again, not much choice of coffee. The only decent thing about the breakfast were the omelettes. We scouted this hotel for a potential family trip later this year, decided better not. Much better resorts in the area.

Nice stay, but F&B and service need improving
Reviewed By zacharyluominWe had a short trip to Dongguan and stayed at this Pullman hotel. Excellent location with easy assessibility to many things around. It's more like a resort hotel but unfortunately some rooms/facilities were closed for maintenance. We planned to book an executive room and got an answer from the hotel that the executive floor was closed for refurb. In general it was a comfortable stay. If you plan to have some outdoor time by the pool and a relaxing stay, this is a good choice. But dont expect too much from F&B and service. The room we stayed at had a bit of history already but it was all very clean and spacious. Gym facilities and outdoor/indoor pools and hot tubs were some highlights of this hotel. F&B and service were somewhat dissapponting and didnt live up to the Pullman standard. A few details: 1. We saw the Japanese restaurant's All-You-Can-Eat dinner promotion pretty much everywhere in the hotel so went in person to book a table. Was told it wasn't served although it was promoted everywhere. When asked why it wasnt available while the poster of this deal was RIGHT OUTSIDE their door, we were told it just wasnt served, without other explanations. 2. Lunch buffet served at the Melody Lounge was not bad, however quite a few hot dishes served on food counter were cold already. 3. Hotel has a British-themed pub, but the only music they played there was Cantonese/Mandarin songs, which was okay but one would expect a British pub to be a little more "British"... 4. At the gym reception, when we asked for a towel, we were given a hand towel and told by receptionist that they "ran out of big towels" for shower and for outdoor sun lounges, and were further told that if we still insisted on wanting big towels, we should call hotel housekeeping and ask for towels OURSELVES - because as a hotel gym, they "were not allowed" to ask for towels even though they ran out of them in the gym. It was somewhat ridiculous. Still, after we insisted and questioned why the gym couldn't just make the call, they kindly did it and requested 2 towels. On a positive note: Thanks Minty at front desk for quickly processing our check-in and being friendly, professional and always ready to help. And thanks for the girl who went to our room to double-check room cleanliness before we got there. Also we really appreciate it a lot for the hotel's kindness to extend our check-out time so we wouldn't have to wait for a few hours at the lobby for our ride to arrive.

Disgusting pool!
Reviewed By marishaan13We went here two weeks ago to use the swimming pool (which is open to the public). It was absolutely disgusting! There were leaves everywhere, pool loungers are broken and the water was dirty. The filters and pumps were not on, the slide that they advertize was not working and the underwater sprayers were turned off as well. We requested multiple times for this to be turned on and, but we were just told that they 'can't'. The bins were overflowing with takeaway food containers and nappies amongst other things. We asked for the bins to be emptied, but no one ever came. The only time we were spoken to, was to take our payment. I was disgusted by the place and will not be back. It was incredibly poor.

Firstly, the main building itself is spectacular and we spent our days relaxing at the many hot springs and swimming pools, before going to the spa to get a massage. We arrived and got a free upgrade to a room that was spectacular - cosy living room, spacious bedroom joined to a modern bathroom with bath and showers. Our trip was full of surprises as the staff found out it was a birthday trip, there was beautiful birthday decorations on the bed, and a cohort of staff knocked our door to sing happy birthday and give us a cake! We then got a private room for the delicious complimentary breakfast in the morning. We spent the whole trip smiling and this was in part to the wonderful service, but the scenery itself could put a smile on your face. Can't wait to go back!

What a difference a year makes... the design is good and I am sure it looked great when it first opened but the maintenance of the property and the lasting power of the design is very weak. The room and facilities had already started to look rundown. There was also a smell of damp and mould in the room. The food is below average, especially for meals outside of breakfast. The spa services were OK. The hotsprings are quite crowded, people can be fairly loud so it's not that relaxing and it's a bit gross to be honest because you can hear other patrons hawking up phlegm or see them checking their feet or examining and picking at other parts of their body below the water or they discard things by the hot springs. It was really off-putting and we couldn't wait to escape. Service is limited/staff are disinterested. We walked everywhere instead of taking the golf cart but it's there if you need/want it. I would not recommend and will not be returning.
