Reviewed By Alistair GNot wanting to book into an expensive hotel near the center during a show at Berlin Messe - opted for something out of town, well Potsdam & also to see a bit more of the city as the transport service is great, relatively cheap & easy to use. The room I booked into was huge, double bed and two singles. Outside verandah area with barbecue - shower / toilet en suite, with little kitchen added. What a surprise ! Only issue, was that right outside was a communal kitchen so at 6.30am when somebody is making a drink - your woken up. Obviously not all rooms were like mine.

This guest house is situated in a beautifully restored old building in the heart of Brandenburg an der Havel, near the Millennium Bridge. Pension Havelfloß right on the banks of the River Havel. Pension Havelfloß offers 2 rooms on the ground floor as well as 7 rooms on the upper floor that contain a sleeping gallery with an amazing river view. Some rooms have a sofa that can be used as an extra bed. All rooms offer a height-adjustable Löwe TV and a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, lots of storage space, a large mirror with extra lighting and a spacious and heated towel rail. All rooms include free WiFi and a safe. A hearty breakfast is available on request each morning, and may include salmon or else freshly prepared scrambled/fried eggs and juice from the region. In good weather you can enjoy this on the comfortable garden furniture directly in nature and on the River Havel. A campfire in the inner courtyard provides romantic and cosy evenings. The in-house sauna can also be individually booked. This is an ideal base for exploring the town of Brandenburg. Guests can also rent bicycles or canoes at Pension Havelfloß. For day trips, this is also a 20-minute train journey from Potsdam and a 45-minute train journey from Berlin on a regional train.

Nette Pension in guter zentraler Lage
Reviewed By Rosalie1712Die Pension liegt unweit der Brandenburger Tors in Laufnähe zur Innenstadt. Das Gebäude ist ein charmanter Altbau ( lt. Pension eine Villa). Die Zimmer bzw. Appartements liegen im 1.-3.Obergeschoß. Im Erdgeschoß befindet sich der Frühstücksraum und eine Sitzecke. Leider knarren die Stufen der Treppen recht laut, was dem Alter des Hauses geschuldet sein dürfte. Die Zimmer und Treppen sind mit Teppich ausgelegt, was zum einen schwer zu reinigen ist und zum anderen nicht sehr hygienisch ist. Hier wäre Laminat o.ä. deutlich pflegeleichter (auch für das Personal!). Mein Zimmer war ausreichend groß, allerdings hatte ich auch ein Doppelzimmer zur Einzelnutzung. Außer besagtem Teppichboden war die Sauberkeit in Ordnung. Das Bad war recht eng und könnte eine "Frischzellenkur" vertagen. Die Duschwasser läuft langsam ab. Das WLAN funktionierte sehr langsam (trotz Verstärker im Zimmer). Fernseher ist in ordentlicher Größe, die Programmauswahl mehr als ausreichend. Pro Etage steht ein Fön im Flur bereit. Babybetten gibt es auch. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Hier sollte jeder fündig werden. Am Wochenende gibt es Eier, die Brötchen kommen vom Bäcker (außer sonntags vielleicht). Es wird Kaffee und Tee ( verschiedene Sorten) angeboten. Das Angebot an Obst ist sehr überschaubar (oder dürftig ). Es wird immer geschaut,ob etwas leer ist und entsprechend aufgefüllt. Die junge Frau,welche in während meines Aufenthaltes als einzige Person des Personals erlebte, war sehr freundlich und fleißig. Sie ist für alles zuständig,was die Gäste und die Pension ( Frühstück,Zimmerreinigung, Ein-und Aus-checken, Bezahlung usw.) angeht und war immer ausgesprochen freundlich ! Für Menschen mit (Mobilitäts-)Einschränkungen ist die Pension nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen, da es keinen Aufzug gibt und des Haus selbst auch über eine Außentreppe betreten werden muß. Sehr schön fand ich,daß im Zimmer ein Wasserkocher , Tassen, Teebeutel und Kaffeesachets bereitlagen (auch wenn ich es nicht nutzte). Im Flur im Erdgeschoß steht ein Getränkeautomat, in welchem man Getränke für kleines Geld erwerben kann. In der Nähe gibt es ein Einkaufszentrum mit einigen Geschäften (Supermarkt, Drogerie usw.) sowie Geldautomat.

All was excellent, except the owner's behaviour. Arrogant and unprofessional man.
Reviewed By alaywahVery nice and quiet resort. The suite room was clean and comfy. I was about to make a great review until the last morning when the owner behaved very unacceptable during our breakfast. Was arrogant and refused to appologise, making me and my colleague stop enjoying our food, stand up and leave immediately. Very disappointing.

Nice view to the lake
Reviewed By JayaseeliFirst time we had dinner (1 time) during our camping at Camping Mahlower. I ordered a fish item which was not that good, neither Gulash which my sister ordered. Anyway, since the restaurant was close to the camping place so it was handy. We enjoyed the view to the lake which was nice!

Reviewed By Klaus HFreundliche Aufnahme und riesiges Frühstück. Die Lage perfekt für die von uns geplanten Radwanderungen. Für kleine Reparaturen oder Wartungen steht eine Servicestation zur Verfügung. Obwohl direkt an der Straße gelegen gehen die Zimmer auf einen ruhigen Innenhof und garantieren einen ungestörten, erholsamen Schlaf. Unangenehm ist allerdings, dass lediglich Barzahlung und im Voraus möglich ist.

Reviewed By 227AntoniaPEine schöne kleine Pension mit persönlichem Flair. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich. Ein Kühlschrank steht auf dem Flur zu Verfügung. Unsere Fahrräder konnten wir abgeschlossen unterstellen und auf unsere Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Die Gastgeber waren freundlich und gaben uns viele Tipps. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden bald wieder einen Stopp dort einlegen.

Reviewed By Jörg ASuper Lage, ruhig und preiswert. Frühstück ist super. Aufgeschlossenes und freundliches Umfeld und eine gemütliche, zweckmäßige Unterkunft. Parkmöglichkeit auf dem Hof. Alles wichtige in Potsdam ist fußläufig erreichbar Wir kommen gern wieder.

Allso a one hour drive from Wansee villa & lake & one and a half hours drive from Berlin. Notice that no cleanig during your stay and no AC. Very good breakfast & service. Car is obligatory

Excellent B&B in the heart of Brandenburg
Reviewed By Uffe MNice B&B with 8 rooms in the Altstadt (old town) close to the Havel river. We had a very fine suite on the 2nd floor, clean, well kept, good beds and plenty of space. The breakfast was excellent with many choices, there were bicycles to rent, and the landlady was very helpful. We chose a place in the old town as it is more charming - here it meant there were not many cafés and bars just around the corner, but it took less than 10 minutes by foot to reach the central part of the city. A bit of noise from the street, but the windows were well isolated.
