Reviewed By DayTrip28628480595Completely loved my stay at Rock and Treehouse Resort. I was most excited about staying here, I loved the fact that it looked like a huge…treehouse. The stilt rooms, huge rocks, massive old trees and nature surrounding made it such a lovely place to stay. Monkeys trying to steal your things, the sounds of insects every second of the day and night. Just perfect. We arrived from the train station about an hour away and staff were immediately attentive, friendly and helpful on arrival. They took our bags to our room whilst we checked in etc. Gave me some time to have a little look around, it was so peacefully quiet, just the sound of insects. I liked our room. It was clean, cosy and simple. The pool at the resort was ok, cleaned daily and nice to relax in. Nice hot shower, fridge, kettle and various hot drink options. Breakfast was included everyday at the resort, a buffet style thing with the typical eggs, toast, sausages etc. Note there are not many options for vegans, only option was potatoes, fruit and toast. Plus drinks and stuff. So if you’re vegan it would be hard. Would recommend maybe bringing some of your own stuff, there is a fridge in rooms so can store it there. And I’m sure they’d be happy to cook up whatever you give them to cook. Wasn’t so keen on all the bees and wasps that attack you as you’re eating your breakfast lol, so if you’re not keen on them I’d avoid breakfast. We went on a lovely kayak ride down the river with a tour guide at the resort. He was so lovely and gave us some souvenirs. It was an amazing experience. Overall I loved my experience here, I would certainly return.

Reviewed By BEonVacationThis lodge is in a pristine location, floating (literally) on a lake within Khao Sok National Park. The scenery is spectacular from the aqua-green water to the towering cliffs emerging at the side of the lake. It's very basic, which maybe is not a surprise for this location. The rooms are tiny, our bags barely fit around the bed, have a combined showerroom/bathroom (like you might find on a boat) and have a small deck overlooking the lake. The rooms are very close together and you'll hear your neighbors watching TV. The food is great, truly authentic thai as that was the clientele. This was one of the few places that didn't have a western breakfast (just scrambled eggs and cereal). The service was the main thing that was lacking. The staff barely spoke enough English to get buy and were often watching video on their phones with the volume on! Upon arrival their was a candle in the bathroom to keep bugs out. This wasn't replaced so on night 2 it was filled with bugs. Next time I'd stay for only 1 night.

Reviewed By V739OVdavidtHad 4 nights here, lovely spot, right on the beach and no rocks in the sea. The bungalows was very clean smelled very fresh and we had good nights sleep, staff friendly and spoke English, we would certainly come back if we were coming to Koh Samui, very quiet though not many tourist about any where in Lamai.

The Nest is a small family base resort in Koh Samui with only 5 rooms and maximum occupancy at any time is only 11 people. Our hotel is just 2 minutes from the center of Bangrak where you can find many shops, restaurants, pharmacy and piers around within the vicinity.

Room 102 is nice & near the reception area. Lowlights: Choice of food in the package may not good enough, you may need to order more. Noisy with group (if you are unlucky). Very packed public space for lunch, dinner or relaxation.

Amazing Holiday

So this villa is perfect as it’s about 10 minutes out of the hassle and bustle and right away from the main area , you do need to either be happy to pay for taxis (£9) each way to Fisherman Village, main area that’s close by or hire a car. We choose taxi, there are lots around. Take the Idyllic card and just show them when you want a taxi, if you give the team notice they will drive you in and you can get a taxi back, Idyllic will charge you to take you but they are so lovely. The villa is gorgeous and the team cannot do enough to make sure you have a lovely time. They are so friendly and will help you with what ever you need. The manager and lovely lady takes time to talk to you and make sure everything is ok. No Restaurant or bar just villa and a private beach. So as long as your all prepared you cannot have a bad experience. We had 3 adults a 17 year old a 19 year old and 3 and 5 year old and we have all had an amazing time. Sad to be leaving and Thank You For looking after us so well… Tracy Grunwell xx

Funky welcoming beachside hotel
Reviewed By HelenGreiStayed in this hotel for 3 nights, fab location right on the beach. We loved the room, thoughtful touches. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food was fair, stick to the fried options. Also was able to hire a moped, 300 Baht for 24 hours. Overall great atmosphere, with families and a range of other travellers. Would recommend.
