Underwhelming
Reviewed By WerckmeisterMy Vimarn looks great from the photos, but admittedly staying there was really rather underwhelming. Here are some positives first however: - friendly staff, except the cleaning lady who tried to come in when a clear "Do Not Disturb" sign was hanging right outside my door - The hotel's white and blue decor is quite pleasant - room is very clean and very large, as is the bathroom (they could have easily fitted a bathtub though, but they chose not to) - they give you tons of water bottles, which is very much appreciated! - huge indoor pool (but this is also a negative, see below) - location is okay. walkable to Cicada market, but at the same time is a bit remote as it has no good access to the beach (more below). Now here are why I was less than impressed: - the air-conditioning is designed to get you sick. In my room, it blows right on top of you while you are in bed! And alas it's the hot season here in Thailand, so if you turn it off it is way too warm, but if you turn it on the air is blasting right on top of you and you get sick. This made sleeping really rather uncomfortable. - there is very little noise proofing in the room. As the room faces the huge indoor pool, and everything is closed off, it means that noises from any floor echoes throughout, and you can here it clearly, even inside the rooms. When I was there, someone had the great idea of swimming around midnight, and splashing around and making noises. Well, I heard everything despite being on the top floor. Ugh. - breakfast is very mediocre. There wasn't a lot of Western options available (despite egg options). Surely more than one bread option is possible?? - outdoor pool itself is...very underwhelming in design and usage. Worse, there is no way to really get from the hotel to the beach. You have to go around to use a public entrance, which makes it less ideal. I debated for a while as to whether give this hotel 2 or 3 stars. But honestly for the amount per night, you can get much better rooms in other places, and ones which are much, much more conducive to restful sleep. So alas I have to give this a 2 stars (ie. I would not return here), despite the very nice folks who work there. Sorry!

Peaceful place
Reviewed By Nan SThis resort has a very nice staff. Peaceful location but not near the sea. You should have a car to get this resort. In this resort, I stay at grand suit room. It has very convenient. The room has pool access. You can go to swimming from your room!

We serve cozy and homey place for all. Riad Hua Hin located in the peaceful area of Takiab bay, Hua Hin, only 200 meter away from Takiab beach with the beautiful view of sunrise in the ocean or even sunset with the mountain view. We adopted the cats and they living here with us, but don't worry, we don't allow them to get in to the guest rooms and normally they spending their day time outside the hotel and night time they have their own rooms to sleep ^^ For those who don't want to go out side for lunch or dinner, Riad cafe provide a simple but delicious food and beverage. Outside guest can also enjoy our beautiful breakfast for only 200 THB.
Hospitable authentic quiet
Reviewed By Aelfhere LVery nice atmospheric hotel with great authentic vibe, management being truly hospitable and caring about the guests. Location is quiet ideal for families with small kids or getaway. Hint : Sleeping cat room is right by the pool. There is a nice roof top with access the second floor- Standing and Sitting cat rooms. 500 meters to the Takiab Beach and even less to 7-11 and restaurants. Amoyzing! Will come again ?
