Reviewed By 2vagabondersOur stay here was a highlight of our 2 months in Chile - gorgeous rooms, great staff/5 star service, delicious meals, and plenty of healthy wine pours. Puerto Río Tranquilo is a special place, a true planetary wonder... we feel so lucky our travels took us here. We stayed here in Feb 2020 but TA won’t let me choose that date so just adding this caveat on the actual date. Wonderful memorable stay!

Reviewed By 606lorenavLocation of this place is fantastic, as you can walk around the city and get to know beautiful Coyhaique city. Beds where completely clean, very comfortable and we really slept like babies after a day of full activity. Personnel so warm, starting at the front desk where you will probably find a big smile, and a warm welcome. Our cabin was very cozy, with flat TV, big closet and safe box included. Bathroom’s size was ok, not too tight, towels very clean but we found a couple of female hairs strands in the floor, so they need to improve the hygiene specially in that place. Next day, first thing in the morning, we found a real banquet for breakfast: yogurt, cereal, oats, natural juice, coffee, tea, warm milk, and a basket with fresh fruits, like pears and oranges. On the table: cheese and ham, jam, butter, crackers and they even brought scrambled eggs and toasts. Don’t forget to stop at the living room, where there is a very antique boiler, such a beautiful piece. Outside the hotel, in the corner of Bilbao Street, you will see plenty of places to eat, or have a creamy cup of coffee latte at the end of the day, on your way to Plaza de Armas. I will certainly stay here again.

Cleaning could be a little bit better, some utensils and shelf of the kitchen were a little bit dirty, but nothing that we couldn't clean before using. We didn't try the restaurant and the breakfast.

Love the hot tub
Reviewed By de-sanUnfortunately we stayed here for 2 nights with bad weather. You are sleeping in a small cottage closely to the main building. The cottages are ok, nothing fancy. The great thing is the pool and the hot tub when it is raining you have something to do. The down side was breakfast, very plane with toast, the usual cheese, ham and jam. Not something you would expect for the price you pay for this lodge.

It is located in the port of the small town of Mallin Grande which is just 80 kilometers west of the town of Chile Chico. We provide upscale, fully equipped cabins along with unsurpassed views and personalized service. The structures are situated off the main road, in a private area surrounded by nature.
Beautiful Property, Great Meals
Reviewed By StevenSueWe really enjoyed our stay at Patagonia Acres. A two bedroom, two bathroom, cottage worked great for two couples travelling together. It was roomy, and the views were beautiful. The small deck facing the water was nice. And we appreciated the good hot water. The central lodge has a commanding view over the lake. Dinners were fairly priced and outstanding. Compliments to Valentina! So we ate here each night of our stay. Breakfasts were to the same standard. And there was a large lounge area, also overlooking the lake, to sit at and use Wifi. We got some beautiful sunset photos from the deck of the lodge. The property is expansive--they sell property and build private homes, and they keep sheep. We did some little hikes, and went fishing from the shore. Unfortunately, the sheep inhabit the little golf course (and you have to also keep an eye out for their droppings while walking around the lodge). Justin, the owner, was always around and willing to help people plan their days. We did a great hike in Patagonia National Park on the side closest to Argentina. It was a big drive to get there (the road to Chili Chico is one of the narrower and windier gravel roads we drove on in Patagonia, but the gravel road after Chile Chico was wide and straight). A great recommendation.

Reviewed By Martin DThe best place where to stay in Coyhaique in 30.000 $ range (dbl room). Very nice and kind owner. Rooms and banos clean. The best breakfast in Chile so far. They were ready and willing to do quick laundry for a good price. They also arranged a private minibus to Balmaceda airport for 5.000 $ / person with hotel pick-up. 5 stars plus!

A lake only for you!
Reviewed By TaotenuiHacienda Tres Lagos has the only access to Lago Negro (Black Lake) in which you can swim (during hot days in summer time), go fishing on the shore, take a trekking trail nearby or simply stay a couple of hours enjoying this wonderful nature landscape. From the Hacienda there is a nice 5 hour horse ride to a high lookout spot where you can see not only Lago Negro, but also Lago Bertrand and Lago General Carrera. If you like adrenaline, they can take you rafting to Rio Baker, with rapids safe but with enough fun to brag about it with friends back home. A place where you should stay for a couple of nights, with nice breakfasts and dinners. As a recommendation contact them when making reservations. Sometimes their web page has some flaws.One of the good things is that you only have wifi in the main lobby which allows you to be really disconnected.

El Engano in Chile Chico
Reviewed By adcdiving605/5000 We stay one night at Lodge El Engano which is located just on the outskirts of the city of Chile Chico and Lago General Carrera. We are warmly welcomed by owners Pedro and Veronica and are again pleasantly surprised when we step into the bungalow because we have a spacious modern sitting area, kitchenette and separate bedroom with king-size bed. Another direct hit! You can also order a wood-fired bathtub. This is nice to sit in after a tired day. You can also admire the sunset. You also get an extra hand blanket for this. Very helpful and friendly owners.

Reviewed By juliaaG7337RRWe absolutely loved this place. Nice and cozy and Sooo warm. We stayed here for 2 nights. Breakfast was great. Small and simple but more than expected. The rooms and the bathroom are super clean. The hosts are very friendly! We turned up around 8pm and got a room straight away. It was 30.000 CLP for a night with a shared bathroom. Great room and like I said warm! We have been soo freezing in other accommodations but here you come in and feel like home. Kitchen can be used too. Absolutely recommend it!
