Quite a good hotel
Reviewed By Vera_SemenovaThe hotel is not quite easy to find unless you go by taxi or as an option you can use a telephone navigator. The room was clean and quite spacious; the man on reception was very polite and smiling. I was not lucky to get the room with a beautiful view. But I should say that the hotel is situated in the dormitory area so I am not sure that there could be a beautiful view from any window. There are two restaurants in the hotel. One restaurant offers classic cuisine, and the other one - national. I chose the classic one and enjoyed the dinner! The breakfast was not included so we ordered it and I should say that it was one of the best I tried in hotels.

Cheap and efficient, not spectacular
Reviewed By Franz LOk-ish Hotel on the road, also close to train station. A bit out-of-time. Wifi reception in room very good, but internet did not work anyhow, hurray. Shower was cold. Despite the good recommendations we decided to skip breakfast and instead went over to a bakery in the mall closeby.

Reviewed By jaco tBreakfast was great , Rooms are neat and tidy and always clean. A little far from town if walking , food was okay very friendly staff always willing to help. Overall a good hotel for a couple of nights but could be difficult to be staying for longer periods. Would like to see more on the restaurant menus for supper in the evenings.

We were so happy to find this restaurant on the plaza where we were able to sit outside and enjoy the good weather. Sitting on the plaza was a great opportunity to enjoy the charm and architecture of the buildings in this historic town. Our waitress spoke English and was able to help us with the menu selections. I ordered a baked potato with a delicious sauce and salad. Other family members were also happy with the selection and quality of the food. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and very attractive.

Family-run Hotel with great service and economic pricing
Reviewed By Sabine BThis is the third time in the past five years that we've stayed in this family run hotel to visit family living in the area and we've never been disappointed. The accommodation has always been great: spacious clean room, TV, refrigerator, modern bathroom and a breakfast buffet. The staff is very customer orientated and friendly. When we inquired, the breakfast team even provided coffee for our thermos on the day of departure. The selection of breakfast items is stunning: cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, jam, variety of bread and bread rolls - what continental breakfast should look like. Good to know: Reception is not staffed 24h but a special access key is provided. Since our early stays, this hotel has expanded its premises and the new building looks great. The hotel is easily accessible and the town center is in walking distance. English and German are spoken; the hotel guests during the week seem to be mainly business travelers.

Reviewed By Eifelelfe71Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Fußgängerzone, wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Innenhof. Trotz Vollauslastung war es aber ruhig. Betten sehr gut, Badezimmer im Vergleich zum Zimmer groß. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, positiv auch die kostenlose Minibar. Stehen vor oder neben dem Bett auf Grund der Enge kaum möglich. Aufenthalt zu zweit im Zimmer, nur schwer möglich. Positiv ist der große Fernseher zu vermerken. Wer nur eine Nacht schlafen möchte, und wenig Wert auf ein wenig Platz legt, ist hier richtig. Hunde sind im Hotel erlaubt und dürfen in der Lobby auch auf der Couch Platz nehmen, das sollte man wissen und mögen, bevor man sich mit guter Kleidung darauf nieder lässt.

Reviewed By BusterMumEasy to book on line. The hotel was less than a 10 minute easy walk from Salzgitter-Bad station. On arrival front door and room keys were dispensed from a machine on the outside of the front door. This seemed very strange and quite impersonal, as we were not greeted by anyone as reception was not staffed. ( We arrived at about 17.00 on a Saturday afternoon so not late arrivals). However, it was efficient and effective. Were able to reach someone using the room phone to book a taxi. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Large bathroom with a lovely shower. Breakfast was really good, fresh and lots of choice both cooked and continental. Checkout was easy and friendly. Would we stay again - definitely.

Reviewed By CATFILLIt’s our 2nd visit to this B & B hotel in Salzgitter, Germany owned and managed by wife & husband. We were very happy when we first stayed in this hotel in August 2020 because they were very accommodating to special requests in terms of food and sightseeing. Although it’s a B & B hotel, upon request, they also cater meals for special events and “Asian meals”. They introduced us to unique places which are unknown to many tourists. We are living in Südtirol for over a year and as soon as the EU reopened , we made a trip to Salzgitter. This trip, Mrs Schinn, prepared authentic and delicious Beef Rendang, Char Kway Teow, Curry dishes, Nasi Lemak with Crispy Ikan Bilis & sambal, etc etc. We were extremely happy and will definitely return.
