The amenities such as the pool and the gym are targeted and allows one to live their normal lives. Staff members are very hospitable.

Woodlands Stop Over and Lodge is a self catering establishment situated just 14kms north of Francistown just off the A3 National road. We have three different types of accommodation suiting the pockets of all travellers. A lovely, well appointed, family cottage with two en-suite bedrooms and all the comfortable amentities of home. Fully furnished and equipped. Eight Riverview en-suite rooms with their own kitchenette, also fully equipped. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Six quaint chalets in the campsite making use of the immaculately clean ablution facility. These rooms (campsite chalets) do not have en-suite facilities. Lovely lawned campsites with water and power points for customer convenience. For the tired traveller a sparkling swimming pool welcomes you on arrival. A tranquil setting awaits all our valued patrons! We are ready to give a warm Botswana welcome. Dumelang!

Reviewed By FellowTraveler713032We were camping at Woodlands. Very clean and neat. Camping absolute pleasure. Wi-fi very limited. Bathrooms very neat with enough warm water. I can strongly recommend Woodlands and will definetly go there again.

Reviewed By neddykmacThey must work on their housekeeping department, they spend the whole day cleaning a room, you call for help they tell you to hold until your call is disconnected. The air conditioner in my room (119) wasn't working properly and i had to endure it for five winter nights. There was no coffee only tea (rooibos and five roses) even after asking nicely from the housekeeping ladies it was never supplied. on a different note they have very friendly staff and their food is great they must serve a variety of desserts, they served too many cakes almost everyday of my stay. This was my first stay at Cresta

The outdoor cooking facilities were excellent and the pool was appreciated when we required cooling off. The rooms were clean and I would recommend New Earth to anyone planning a stay in Francistown.

Great if you know what to expect
Reviewed By Richard HI was looking for a basic camping facility to host a school sports team. I didn't want to stick the boys in a hotel where things could get broken and they might disturb other guests. Tshimologo was just what I was looking for. The tented accommodation is simple but adequate. The ablutions also, though they could perhaps be spruced up a little and maybe there is a better way to ensure enough hot water. There is space to run around. We experienced one very windy night but the tents kept the cold out - if not all the noise! There is a good area for braaiing if required. I did not investigate or use the cooking facilities. At night, the place is pretty well lit. Mrs Alberts is a friendly and attentive host. There may be some farm noises (dogs, sheep, hens) in the vicinity but my bed was very comfortable and I am not complaining. This is not - and does not claim to be - luxurious but if you are looking for simple and cheap accommodation in Francistown, I would be happy to recommend it. I anticipate returning at the same time next year! There is a more upmarket guest house but I did not go in or view that part.

Reviewed By MuzzoBWA nice cosy place to sleep and shower, was ticked off by not having hot water in the showers in the afternoon as the geysers were switched off, I believe to save electricity or something. Nonetheless it is a walking distance to Francistown's main malls as well as bus Rank and has very friendly staff.

Appalling property
Reviewed By philrobinson60I booked through Booking.com as their reviews for the Limpopo Guest House where quite high and positive so I left my credit card as confirmation. I had asked for an early check in which was accepted but when I arrived I had to explain who I was and was greeted with such distain I felt like an imposter. My allocated room was in the main house and was nothing more than someone’s bedroom. It was tired and shabby and the door lock was just a simple three lever lock which could be easily compromised. To gain access to the property 24/7 one had to get out of their car and press the bell before the electric gate was opened from inside. The property is on the outskirts of Francistown and there is a pathway on the side of the Guest House where potential muggers can linger waiting for a foreign number plate to get out of their car to ring the buzzer. I refused to stay as I felt the property is potentially unsafe given the various aspects already mentioned. Booking.com should seriously review their ratings for this guest house as it’s grossly overrated.

If we lived closer we would visit there regularly. The accommodation was great, very clean and a great feeling of being in the wild. The staff were amazing and the food was brilliant. Cannot praise this place enough - would thoroughly recommend staying there!
