Exquisite ryokan with private onsen
Reviewed By Elizabeth TA very cosy ryokan just beside the river and close to the centre of Kurogawa old town. We stayed in room 105 which was at the end of the ryokan and very quiet and private. They have a public and family onsen. Need to reserve the 50-min private onsen in advance and it is open until very late. The public onsen opens at 6.30am so if you are there early, you will have the whole onsen overlooking a bamboo forest all by yourself. Very therapeutic. Fantastic breakfast too.

Beautiful Facade and big hotel.
Reviewed By davechinwanThe hotel was very beautiful from the exterior and had a very nice facade.It was a simple but very elegant European style expansive building with gardens and a nice set of big trees on the backside. The hotel entrance decorations were very elegant, while the Xmas decor inside was just ok. I liked the room, it was a superior room with a contemporary European theme and colors. I was impressed by 2 trash cans one for bottles and cans , other for regular, The bath was more lavish than expected for that room style. The view was mountain. The food at the breakfast was very good, i ate only healthy food but i could see a large selection for anyone who likes buffets. The corona protocols were done well and the staff was nice. I was given check in before the actual time, which was very thoughtful. The park is less than a minute away and the hotel sold many ticket plans. Overall it was a beautiful service hotel with many facilities for families, couples and even businessmen.

Great location and public spaces, but small rooms are a real problem
Reviewed By hfot2When we arrived hauling our wheeled luggage behind us, a kindly housekeeping woman took to us the wheelchair accessible elevator (and dedicated public bath elevator) to get from the ground floor to the lobby which is on the second floor. There is an escalator, but it is too narrow to accommodate suitcases. We arrived early and our luggage was held for us until check-in time. Not much English was spoken by our first check-in person, but others on staff, and a Western hotel intern, did speak English. The hotel is in a great location for train arrival and close to station and area restaurants (and shopping). The public baths are quite nice. A Lawson convenience store is connected to the first floor right next to the public bath entrance and there are many restaurants in the area. Two cookies were left daily in our room by housekeeping. An iPad and smartphone were in the room for our use; however, we didn’t need either however. The room was small, cramped and crowded with furniture, including a gigantic arm chair and a very unstable small round table. We rearranged the furniture and put the air humidifier, the hassock, and the neck and foot massagers into the closet. We still couldn’t open both suitcases at the same time. There was no closet and the hanging arrangement for clothing along the wall didn’t work well for our needs. We expected the room to be small from the description when we made the reservation, but the arrangement of the furniture and the size of the pieces made the room impossibly tiny for two people. We checked the hotel floor plan and our twin room appeared to be the largest room in the hotel which we confirmed at check-in. The lobby, on the other hand, is quite spacious with tables and chairs for working on computers. Right near the tables is a free tea machine, and a chargeable coffee machine. A separate room (library?) off the lobby provided another place for quiet conversations. Several small seating areas were scattered throughout the lobby. It seems as if the hotel was trying to make up for the fact that the rooms were cramped by making the public spaces attractive and spacious. For its location, we might consider returning here for a very short stay, but we prefer larger rooms such as those found in other properties we have patronized on previous Hakata visits. The tiny rooms probably would turn out to be a deal breaker for us for subsequent visits here.

Reviewed By pancakemarmaladeDecent enough!! We got the room for a really cheap price, not sure if that is the market rate or it was a promotion. So we were not expecting much but the hotel was grand, room was spacious, bathroom was clean and had all basic amenities. Just a short walk from downtown Hakata including all the yatais and food.

A hotel sophisticated in traditional and modern Japanese style
Reviewed By nshneRoom deco created like wooden architecture reminded me traditional Japanese beauty which has not been found in Japan currently. Pictures in opening bet. “Sho-ji” felt “Wabi-sabi” we called. It’s typical Japanese beauty. On the other hand, Lobby was built by modern style. Blossom Hotel were characterized by both differences boldly. Also I impressed staff hospitality very much. “Onsen” located on a roof top level is great. But this is Oita Prefecture, it’s normal. Overall I highly recommend here. First is sophisticated deco, second is staff hospitality and last is easy access to Oita station.

Good location and nice service
Reviewed By bunlikThe hotel is located near Hakata station which is very convenient. There are Izakaya and convenient store nearby. A takoyaki stall is set up in front of the hotel entrance every night. The hotel service was generally good. You can borrow humidifier, aroma diffuser and hair curler from the front desk. But I didn't have good sleep during the stay, maybe it's about the pillow. There was only one room key card for us which I think it's a bit discommoding.

Paid car park is next to the hotel so I can easily drink around and walk back to hotel. 24hrs Donki is also in walking distance. Room is not too small as expected.

What an indulgence
Reviewed By SKW66We booked the Executive Japanese Western Style Suite which was located in the middle building out of the 3. There was a little tatami room where the staff kindly made the mattresses during dinner time where our 2 young kids could sleep. Then my husband and I occupied the remaining 2 double beds which was just A LOT of space! Dinner was served in one of the restaurants in the same building. Our family of 7 was glad that we got to occupy in a private dining room. Too bad the weather was cloudy that we couldn't see the sun rise at 7am. The suite had a big living room area with a balcony facing the horizon. The view in a cloudy day was already stunning. It's a pity we couldn't see it in the best weather. The breakfast buffet at the same building got so many food choices we didn't get to try everything we would like. This was also because the breakfast time ended at 9:30am... Unlike in other hotels where they would let the guests finish the remaining food even though breakfast time is over, here the food was already being removed at 9:30am.

Reviewed By Akiko_shortひとり利用で2泊しました。 ・古いホテルだと思うのですが館内も部屋もきれい。 ・1階はコンビニエンスストア。周辺にもたくさんある。 ・地下鉄、西鉄、繁華街のすべてが徒歩圏内。 ・部屋には持ち出し可能な無料のレンタルスマートフォンがある。 ・Wi-Fiは部屋でストレスなく利用できた。 ・バスタブは深めで水圧も十分（8階） ・浴室に引出し式の物干し用ロープあり。 ・浴室は清潔だけどやや生乾き臭があった。 ・コーヒー、お茶、お水がフリーで置いてある。 ・館内の雰囲気は落ち着いていてスタッフの応対も親切で丁寧。 食事は利用していないのでわかりませんが、地産のものを扱っているようです。 福岡周辺の観光の拠点としてとても良いホテルだと思います。 ・ I think it is an old hotel, but both the hall and the rooms are clean. ・ The first floor is a convenience store. There are many around. ・ The subway, Nishitetsu and downtown are all within walking distance. ・ There is a free rental smartphone that can be taken out of the room. ・ Wi-Fi was available in the room without stress. ・ The bathtub is deep and the water pressure is sufficient (8th floor) ・ There is a pull-out laundry rope in the bathroom. ・ The bathroom was clean but smelled a little. ・ Coffee, tea and water are free. ・ The atmosphere in the hall is calm and the staff is helpful and kind. I think it is a very good hotel as a base for sightseeing around Fukuoka.
