Reviewed By SandBTokyoThis is a great choice if you are spending the night in Kamogawa. It is right on the beach front and also has a pool. You can walk from the hotel to Kamogawa Sea World in 5 to 10 minutes, it is just down the road. The hotel has recently had an upgrading and renovation. The hotel is spacious and clean, seems to be family oriented and very child-friendly. Our room was western style; clean, spacious and comfortable. Non-smoking with nice ocean view. We could hear the waves at night which was nice for sleeping. The dinner and breakfast are in a beautiful dining room, kind of a Bali atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style and were wonderful; great selection and quality. The public bath is fantastic. There is a lot of space and everything seems clean, both indoors and outdoors. The water quality was nice. The service at this hotel is super friendly. We had a great time and would be happy to come back.

Long stay, nice hotel
Reviewed By MichaelcothStayed there during my visit to Kameda Hospital. Stayed 13 nights. The room was very spacious with a balcony overviewing pacific ocean. The room looked dated but clean. I didnt have breakfast in the hotel but there are a few restaurants or cafes nearby. 15 minutes walk from Kamogawa JR station, there is a large supermarket next door. There were cooking utensils inside the room which is quite convenient to a long stay guest like me. Very nice stay overall

The hotel package is a bargain for Sea World lovers and those with young children but with some shortcomings.
Reviewed By tomizuta1953Stayed at this hotel for one night for a couple of reasons. It was close to our next destination Katsuura, but above all the package included a two day pass to Kamogawa Sea World with direct access from the hotel and a night tour to the Sea World. It was certainly an interesting tour to see the sleeping penguins and mammals in the night. The package dinner and breakfast were both buffet style in the basement restaurant. There were numerous dishes too many to try them all. I appreciated the sashimi which was of course very fresh but not luxurious and the numerous dishes of local vegetables. Our room was a tatami room on the ground floor with an ocean view. The room was spaceous enough for us two but with some shortcomings. The futon bed was not thick enough giving me a backache in the morning, The fridge was quite noisy and we couldn't turn the room temperature down as it was quite warm in the room. Also the bathroom is tiny even from Japanese standards. The amenities were quite basic. I wanted a razor but found they were only provided in the public bath. The public bath was quite good. The staff were all very helpful. My overall impression is that the hotel package is a bargain for Sea World lovers and those with young children.

I was looking forward to enjoy fresh seafood at this ryokan on the Boso Peninsular seaside. I was not let down.

I visited this ryokan in Amatsu-kominato on the southern seaside of the Boso Peninsular to enjoy a quiet stay and onsen bath. I had visited Amatsu-kominato before but it was the first time to stay at this ryokan. The ryokan was much larger than I had expected and was quite busy in spite of the pandemic. This was a surprise for me, as there were very few travelers at the sightseeing spots in the vicinity. It was a cold day and I enjoyed a quick bath in the rooftop public bath. I had ordered an early supper which was served in the guest tatami room I was staying. The southern seaside of the Boso Peninsular is a great place to enjoy fresh seafood and I was looking forward to the meal. I was not let down. Starting from a full set of appetizers using local seafood and including assorted fresh sashimi. the course also included a small grilled half lobster and a simmered red Kinme-dai (a local favorite). Although each dish was not that voluminous, I quickly became full leaving not much room for the red snapper rice and dessert at the end. I took an early bath (which opens from 5am) before breakfast served in one of their banquet rooms. They had quite a decent selection of western style dishes as well as local dishes to help yourself to. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Their room rate is higher than average, but well worth it to enjoy a relaxing break at a seaside onsen ryokan.

The hotel is not located at beach front, you must cross the road using underground path to the beach. By the way, I stayed in deluxe ocean view room which gave panoramic view of the ocean. The room is comfortable. The hotel onsen is nice. The breakfast is good. I booked dinner for my two nights stay. I had dinner in private room at the restaurant. Staff gave good service and chef came to present and explain my dinner by himself. There are non Japanese staff who could speak English. The staff who couldn't speak English use translator pad to communicate with me.

Nice hot spring on the 7th floor and friendly service
Reviewed By Yuko HIt is very close to Kamogawa Sea World and price is reasonable if you choose the regular (shionone plan) dinner. If you would like to have delux dinner, they have full course Japanese style with seafood or with Japanese beef (the menu changes). The hotel is not delux but very clean. No wifi in the room.

Very Modern but Traditional Atmosphere/Great Seasonal Dishes
Reviewed By lkyao69Our group (two couples) enjoyed a one-night stay in twin-bedded rooms with beautiful ocean views from sitting areas (with sofas) and from the beautifully-styled, in-room baths, with nice amenities provided and towels. The thin-screened televisions had local channels, and there was a lock-drawer-style safe in the room. There was a small refrigerator (no freezer section) in our room.The long-style closet was well-stocked with wooden hangers and was nice for hanging long skirts/dresses. The larger public baths had amenities (Shiseido and Pola), toothbrushes, shower caps, hair brushes, razors, and thick towels. There is also a rooftop, two-bath(one square/one large wooden bowl) public bathing area. The common dining area had a nice decor with private-seating (enclosed areas for individual groups, with their respectively-assigned serving staff). The numerous Japanese-style, seasonal dishes were enjoyed by everybody. Note that you should inform the reservation clerk about any food allergies you have in advance because they will try to meet your needs. We brought our own wine, so the uncorking fee was ¥2,100/bottle. Even though the front of the inn is not impressive at all, once you enter the lobby area, there is a longish hallway that leads into a very modern and comfortable seating area that overlooks an impressive ocean view. It feels as if one is falling off the ocean horizon. There is free fresh coffee(two types of beans) and tea bags in the off-the-lobby seating area, which was great for early risers. We enjoyed taking very early baths on the rooftop just before having breakfast: wearing the provided Japanese-style outfits: Ask in advance for a larger-sized set if needed. Note that you might want to carry your own slippers if shoe size is larger than Japanese-size 24. This is a very nice inn for a one-night stay because it is not too far away from Kamogawa Sea World. This is a very nice location for a one-night stay because it is not too far away from the Kamogawa Aquarium. Discount tickets to the aquarium were provided as part of a package plan for this inn, so do some research to find out which reservation sites offer this. It saved our group some money on the entrance fee to the very enjoyable aquarium.

Terrible hotel, 10% service charge added to the room when check out
Reviewed By graceyung5128Me and my husband stayed on Mar 30 with confirmation from hotel 41000yen including dinner and breakfast. When we check out on Mar 31, the hotel added a 10% service charge to the bill, we ended up paying 45400yen. It's a total ripped off, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kamogawa in the future.
