Reviewed By traveller1ViennaThe feriendorf is situated directly on the lake and the whole area is very idyllic. The apartment buildings blend in with the scenery and the suites are spacious and well planned with small kitchenette and fridge. It is an ideal place for families with children and dogs. There are various programmes offered to children of all ages and also some for adults including nordic walking and cycling. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. The food and drink was in buffet form which was varied and very good. Unfortunately there are some negative points which I would like to point out. On arrival the reception was chaotic. With our all inclusive arrangement check in was at 16:00 when all inclusive began. There were queues of children and adults shoving and pushing to get their bands, others trying to check in and reserve table sittings which was supposedly at 18:00 or 19:30. This turned out to be practically non-existent as it wasn’t controlled so people just came and went when they pleased. After the first evening we wondered what we had let ourselves in for. The following day things had calmed down, also in the restaurant, but I should point out that this is the only place you can get food and drinks with AI. What is lacking is a small kiosk near the lake for people to be able to get drinks and certainly more sun lounges. Most were reserved very early in the morning as some families and groups took one for each person even though the children weren’t often present. We enjoyed our stay there but I wouldn’t recommend it to younger or older couples holidaying alone.

Cozy and friendly
Reviewed By olivierc47We used this hotel as a base for several excursions and we had a great time there. Very friendly staff, great and comfortable rooms, very good food and a great atmosphere made this hotel a top-experience. The fact that it is close to, but not in, Feldkirchen was an additional bonus. We had to make the reservation quite short-notice (due to a change in our travel plans because of COVID), but still got the most warm of all welcomes - along with the famous Austrian charm.

Excellent hospitality
Reviewed By Katarzyna JWe spent a week here, including New Year's Eve 2017, and had a great time. Meals are very good, varied and big enough even for a big man. The appartment was very comfortable and clean. They cleaned up every day. There was only one misunderstanding - the indoor pool is open only during summer time but we used the sauna. It is quite close (25 and 35 min by a car) to ski resorts (Gerlitzen and Bad Kleinkirchen). We had a very good rest in quiet place. Thanks to Fichinger family for their wonderful hospitality.

Very beautiful view on winery
Reviewed By Santacruz84The hotel is surrounded by a winery. The rooms are really spacious and clean, ours had a very nice balcony. What can be improved is the service efficiency (took sometimes too long to get a coffee), the TV channel alignment which is very confusingly mixed with radio channels. On the other hand the hotel offers a delicious kitchen. Also it‘s around 5-10 walking minutes to a small lake. For Wörthersee visit I wouldn‘t recommend this place it‘s too far away but could be a cheaper alternative to expensive hotels which are closely located directly at the lake (e.g. in Velden).

Comfortable room with hot plates for cooking (although not much crockery - we had our camping stuff). Beautiful setting with a decent small supermarket 2km in one direction, and a lovely swimming lake 2km in the other. A few restaurants nearby too, although we didn't try them. Short walks / bike rides easily accessible. Kind people, and lovely goats / cows / cats to make friends with!

Ideal mit Kindern
Reviewed By mguenther7Durch die Kombination von Reiterhof und Urlaub am Bauernhof ist diese Location ideal für einen Aufenthalt mit Kindern. Etwas erhöht (im Herbst oberhalb der Nebelgrenze!) liegt man verkehrsberuhigt auf einem kleinen Hügel, Pollenitz genannt südlich von Feldkirchen. Isländer Pferde zum Reiten für Gross und Klein und die Ponys für die Kleinsten, Hund, Ziegen und sonstiges Getier sind ein Hit für die ganze Familie. Sehr gastfreundlich und familiäres Umfeld lösen gleich einen Erholungsfaktor aus.
