Reviewed By Claudia FSuper cozy place to stay for good prices, just a few metres from the beach. Rooms are tidy, have a fan and everything you need. The Beach Hut Crew is nice, open minded, helpful and flexible. You can also eat here for cheap prices compared to the rest of Arugam Bay. With its backpacker style it creates a atmosphere, in which also the contact between guests feels more natural. We enjoyed a lot being here for 11 days and would always come again.

Reviewed By wasantha123I went to aki villa with a couple from france .this place in kalkuda is located in a very peaceful and quite nebourhood.it has a large swimming pool .the garden of the hotel is full of flora and forna .they also have a restaurant (they will prepare anything for your conveiniance for sure ) they offer me even the driver accomotation for a very reasonable rate and with a little bit of money spend i also had all my meals at aki villa (if you need futher cheap prices the owner of aki villa also have a hotel in the heart of valachchena(near to police station and petrol shed /to the pasikudah road ). The staff of this hotel is very good and they will give you a very fast and excellent services upon your requests .the morning breakfast was fantastic as well as all the dinners i had there .very clean environment with always smiling people .they also let me clean and wash my vehicle without any additional cost .you can experience the fisherman life (everything they do)just 500 meters away from the hotel (ask your hotel and they will organize it at your conveiniance ) most important thing is that they have rooms for a very relaible and cheap prices while other hotels having unbearable prices .highly recommended for local and foriegn guests and for families .i would definitely take my guests to aki villa again .finally i have found "The place " to stay in pasikudah .all the best

Best choice for Backpacker in Nilaveli
Reviewed By Luke_FlukeSamira is the perfect host for your stay! A heartwarming guy, always willed to help you and he will do everything to make your stay as comfortably as possible. The rooms are clean so as the bathroom. There is a moskito net inside and a fan which keeps you cool at night. We had a very very good time at the Vibushan Guest House and would definetly come again. The only negative thing: as nearly everywhere in Sri Lanka the beds are short (1,8m) and the bed is pretty hard. But we have been there for more than 2 weeks, so you should handle this problem easy :) Great place, great host, nice garden and a lot of extras like free wifi, free coffe and tee, BBQ for a fair price, scooter rent and so on. Perfect for Backpackers to get the most out of a low budget and also if you want to get in touch with local people. Thank you Sameera!!

Reviewed By beijingduckRegina is located well off the beaten track, between Uppuveli and Nilaveli, and about 20 mins by tuk-tuk from Trincomalee. The German-owned development comprises about five generously-sized and well-equipped bungalows in a pleasant garden next to the beach: you will hear only the waves and the birds. There are hammocks and sun-loungers, but no pool. The food is excellent, the wifi is strong, and the staff are helpful. I visited in the low season (February): the sea was rough and the nearby beaches a bit littered, but Regina was calm and hospitable.

We propose a really nice B&B direct on the beach. Breakfast is included in the price. It is a small structure (only 8 rooms with 2 family rooms with beachview & a Suite Deluxe with a private little pool). There is an other shared little pool in a nice patio.

Reviewed By benbecSorry for the late review! We planned to stay for a couple of nights but ended up staying for five I think. Amanta was a fantastic last minute find. The owner and the staff were all amazingly helpful. The rooms are really nice with great bathrooms. The hotel was quiet so we were allowed a room for us and a room for our two children, aged six and nine. We ate in the restaurant each night which is worth a visit in itself! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Amanta to anyone visiting Nilaveli.

Great peaceful place to relax
Reviewed By Jessica OThese cabanas seem brand new. There was an amazing bed, incredibly confortable, with very soft sheets. Our cabana had very good AC and the room was a good size. The garden around the cabanas is well cared for and beautiful with flowers. There is a seating area outside each cabana and also a communal dining area. They have good views. The wifi in the dining area is good, but it does not reach to the cabanas. To improve the cabanas must get mosquito nets. There were lots of mosquitos in the evening so we could not sit outside but also could not open our windows. As a side note, we booked the cabana here because it mentioned a kitchen. When I booked I asked what facilities the kitchen had but got no answer. It turned out on arrival the 'kitchen' was just a small extra room at the back of the cabana with a sink.

Reviewed By stevencole01I only stopped in (a pretty empty) Arugam Bay for one night. I had a small basic fan room, option for AC. Mozzie net bed. Bathroom was basic, as well as the shower unit. WiFi was super quick & the location was good, a few minutes from the main beach & very quiet. Not bad, but not great.
