Reviewed By travellover131New hotel, large spacious rooms with balcony. Very clean bathrooms and fully furnished kitchen. The location is opposite the train station so it’s very convenient if you plan to make day trips and take trains to different parts of switzerland. There is a large grocery store next to the hotel as well. The staff was also very friendly. I would stay here again

Reviewed By 957maxBetween trainstation and the towncenter it is hard to beat the location. And from the balconies on the upper floor (7) the view is splendid. However, my room was very run down and deserved urgently a renovation.

Reviewed By LumpenpoleWe were there for two nights, the staff was very very friendly and the price is affordable for Geneva. We got a ticket for the Tram/Bus for free which is great, also the Tram Station is directly in front of the Hotel. Only downside is that the room cleaning is only happening when you stay longer than five days, and additional cleaning/towels cost extra. Also the barrier at the parking space needs to be opened by key by the staff, which is not very practical. I would definitely stay here again!

Our Residence Patrica is situated at the entrance of Zermatt, 600 meters from the train station. The nearest bus station is within 2 min. Walking distance (see map). Our Alpen Resort Hotel with Wellness area and Breakfastbuffet is within 5 min. Walking distance, the rezeption with the room keys is located in this hotel (Spissstrasse 52). Train station and center is reachable within 7-10 min.If you arrive by train, the Rezepiton of the Alpen Resort Hotel is 200 Meters straight on the street on your left. If you arrive by car, please notice that you have to park your car in Tasch. From Tasch you have to take a shuttle train (every 15 min) or a taxi to come to Zermatt.

Nice and peaceful felt quite and relaxing after busy days in mountain. Apartment had everything we needed. Plenty of space and a nice furnished balcony overlooking matterhorn. Really clean and WiFi seemed fine. Nice staff at hotel who can check you in or you can do self check in. We booked before covid and got cancelled so was able to use voucher and unbelievably, the deal was the same which was great as most prices have gone up since covid! Would recommend ?

Relaxing laid back self catering choice
Reviewed By LisaA6545Lovely aparthotel that is central & easy to get to from station. Swimming pool with sunbeds to relax when back from sightseeing. Friendly staff, breakfast was included. It was great to have cooking facilities as Switzerland can be expensive for eating out. Central on lake - balcony was decked out nicely and pizzeria next door did marvelous gluten free take away pizzas so we were happy about this. Recommend this place if you want laid back, central, relaxing and a friendly self catering option.

The apartments are located on the Allmend of Lucerne, two kilometres away from the main railway station, from the old town, from the lake and footsteps away from the football stadium "Swisspor Arena". The highway junction (Kriens Süd) is only a 2.5 kilometres drive from the apartment. The main rail station and old town Lucerne can easily be reached with the public transport within 10 minutes. Buses are heading towards Lucerne every 15 minutes from the bus stop, which is only a few footsteps from the apartments. Also there is a rail station close to the apartments. Trains pass through the station every 30 minutes. All sightseeing spots and the main rail station are only a few minutes away from the apartment. The apartments are located in Tower 1. Both of the HOCHZWEI towers are the highest in all of central Switzerland. The apartments are fully equipped and light flooded. The modern apartemnts also include a kitchen that comes with a combination device to be used as a microwave as well as for baking. In addition the apartments contains a bathroom, equipped with a shower, toilets, a mirror cabinet, a hairdryer, an electric iron and an ironing board. A flat screen TV with a wide range of channels and WIFI are at your free disposal.
Old, rickety and depressing dump.
Reviewed By John MRun down, dirty, very very basic apartment. Cramped room with 3 beds and a kitchen table. Actually feel dirty being in this place. Images on booking.com and trip advisor don't show what it's really like. Actually attempted to book in somewhere else for tonight only there was nothing else available. The instructions to get into the apartment block didn't describe how to get in, we had to ask people going in and out. I would deft not stay here again and it's took the shine off Lucern altogether. We loved Thun and the place we stayed was great, I would think Lucerne would be better if we didn't stay here. Like being a student again.

We would definitely recommend River Residence for business, family or leisure travel as you walk away refreshed and inspired! Our family of four, which included two medium sized dogs, called the River Residence our home for two months after relocating from South Africa. Marco and his trusty team runs a tight ship and it clearly shows in the professional, friendly and sincere manner in which all guests are treated. Marco did not think twice to accommodate our dogs, which are more like children to us and we all settled in within the first day! Renate and her crew ensures that the apartments are cleaned weekly which includes a fresh set of towels and bedlinen. The communal laundry room was so well equipped that this chore seemed more like a pleasure. The apartments have everything you need to cook a hearty meal or just warm up some ready made meals. The Dulce Gusto coffee machine is a bonus as we are huge coffee drinkers. The location of the River Residence is great as you are within a very short walk of the Baden main train and bus station. Here you will find a vast selection of grocery stores and other shops to fulfil all your needs. The station is also in the heart of Baden where you will find all major banks, mobile network providers and various clothing and fast food shops. The views from the River Residence are just breathtaking and walking around the neighbourhood, interacting with the locals just makes you appreciate true Swiss hospitality even more. We will be back! It’s right next to the gondolas that go to the top of the nearest mountain for skiing, tobogganing, and snow shoeing. There is no maid service, but it’s much better than a random, sketchy Airbnb. I was impressed with the way they maintained the premises during the 2020 pandemic. Hand sanitizer stations and paper towels were provided at the entrance, and everything was contactless.
