Hotel Platan is situated at the southern shore of Lake Balaton, at a distance of 500 m from the centre of Zamardi near the free beach. The Hotel offers a calm and pleasant place for relaxation with its beautiful 2500m2 big park and new buildings. Our house has 18 rooms and can accommodate 46 persons. To the different rooms belong terrace, shower and toilet. Parking in on the Hotel’s area assured. In addition to breakfast half board in also available in our restaurant. There is a swimming pool with deck chairs in the garden and sauna in the building offers relaxation for our clients. Billiards table, internet and TV in the rooms provide the entertainment. Our guests can select from the rich choice of programs in town Zamardi, but the entertainment opportunities in the surroundings are also available easily.
Most disappointing hotel experience ever
Reviewed By Adri MWe asked for early check-in and we've been told it's not a problem, and the room was ready. Got here about 10.30am, so after having some food we thought to have a nap as we were flighting from London we had a few hours sleep in the last few days and we planned to attend a festival tonight so we thought few hours nap is much needed. Around 1pm being a sleep for 45mins two housekeepers were trying to get into our room with their key, that's what woke us up. After this incident we could not go back to sleep. Few hours later my friend was taking a shower to get ready for the festival, there was no key in the door inside or outside, but the door still managed to stucked and she wouldn't get out. When I went to get the receptionist, she told me this is not the first time, this is happening and she managed to get out my friend get out from the bathroom. The same day we went to have a dinner, and we got a soup, which I got it wasn't hot enough. For the main we had two options. Pork with mushrooms sauce and pasta, and green chicken with salad. The pork was tasty, but the chicken with salad was way too dry and without any dressing. But most importantly it was hair in both courses. When we reported this to the owner he said to my hair, maybe she should put her hair in a ponytail... I find this response unexceptionable and being here the first day out of our five it is very disappointing and I feel quite hopeless for the next four with these service considering we paid above £500 for our stay. Happy birthday to the both of us..! And if you wanna take an advice, don't ever book this place...

Reviewed By robinvandeweteringVery dirty room (dust and spider webs everywhere) and ever dirtier bathroom. Spiders everywhere. The double bed was a sleepbench. It was very short and the springs basically came out of the bed which hurted when you lay on your side. It was very hot inside (no airco and/or fan). The breakfast was terrible. The rooms are very noisy as well.

BEST HOTEL WITH A GYM AND SAUNAS
Reviewed By seemahennaWellamarine has been a blessing for me during the Covid 19 Pandemia. This hotel is just at the lake side. The distance from the main train station is less than one kilometer. Internet wifi speed is excellent. There is a wide variety of restaurants around the hotel but I love the ambience, hygiene and the taste from the restaurant which is located at the lake side. The deer soup, pizzas or the ice creams are not only delicious but reasonably priced too. The gym is well equipped. I enjoyed the Gym and the saunas a lot. They have very well maintained small pools, with jacuzzi in and outdoors, nice, cosy places for relaxing and 4 kinds of different saunas to choose from.There are nice places for sunbathing, to enjoy reading, for meals with a view of the lake. The professional staff was very kind and polite. Special thanks to Dorena, Eva and Anna.

There's a convenient store and a cafe beside the building. The Lake Balaton is literally next corner. Highly recommended!

Reviewed By RobertoG649Breakfast was really good, swimming pool was clean and refreshing. The room was clean, bed was comfy and the bathroom was also very clean. Good job. The staff, especially Orsi, Sandra, Emoni and Zsolt (hopefully i wrote the names correctly) were really helpfull and very friendly. Our little Fluffy was also welcome at the hotel. We enjoyed the view of the lake and the quietness. Thank you all. We really recommend the hotel to stay. For sure we will be back.

Tágas nagy szobák, használható wifi, tv. A fürdő nagy sarkkádas és zuhanyzós. A kertbe be lehet állni kocsival. Maximálisan tudom ajánlani minden nagy családosnak és nagyobb társaságnak.

Reviewed By Renata NThe hotel is located literally on the lakeside. If you have a middle room in the back then you have a nice view to the lake, otherwise the side rooms are quite small and dark, despite the large windows. The deco is outdated, but fairly clean. The hosts are lovely and the place is dog friendly which is great! The food was really nice as well. We struggled with the internet every day and mostly just gave up... All in all the value and price ratio is a bit unbalanced as it is quite expensive for what it is.

It is a duplex villa on the beachside of Balaton in the town of Zamardi. Each side has three double bedrooms,and one bedroom with three beds in the attic, so each side can provide a comfortable holiday for 9-9 persons. The house has a great balcony with a panoramic view to the Balaton and the Isle of Tihany. Each side has it's own fully equipped kitchen, three bathrooms with shower, 4 toilets, and a garden. Equipment for a barbecue is provided (Only charcoal for fire needed)
