Cancelled and tried to move me to Holiday Haven on day of arrival
Reviewed By MaDier90I was booked with a deposit paid for a three night stay on Ukulhas in February. Literally the morning I was due to arrive, they informed my agent that they were now full and were moving me to a much inferior property they owned, in fact, the lowest rated inn on the island. Nothing I or my agent could do. The island was completely booked, which is why they thought they could get away with this dirty trick, but fortunately I was able to find another place to stay. My agent refunded me, but Ulkulhas Beach Inn has not refunded him as of this writing.

A COSY GUESTHOUSE IN PARADISE Our guesthouse is located on Ukulhas, a beautiful local island in the North Ari Atoll of the Maldives. Ukulhas used to be fishermen island and is home to about 1000 locals. The island is surrounded by a white sandy beach which which invites for long strolls around the island. Numerous restaurants, shops, a big Playground, Health Center, Watersports Center: there is all what is needed for a perfect vacation. OUR GUESTHOUSE Our gorgeous comfortable guesthouse on Ukulhas offers cosy accommodation in 8 modern and well equipped rooms. Only a few steps away, a private beach area invites for strolls and relaxing beach days. The outdoor space and garden area is equipped with hammocks and comfortable seating loungers to sit and relax. A barbecue and the kitchen offer delicious meals for everyone. Free Wifi is available throughout the property, however there are no phones or clocks to provide the ultimate feeling of complete unwinding. Our big and comfortable Rooms are designed to give you the best comfort. All rooms are with en-suite bathrooms facilitating hot and cold water. They are comfortably furnished and very modern with double or twin beds. Wifi is available free of charge throughout the entire property. Each room is equipped with an HD-TV, a remote- controlled fan, individually controlled air-conditioning and a water kettle. Shampoo, shower gel, towels, beach towels and a hair dryer are being provided as well as complimentary tea and coffee. Due to our sustainable filter system, drinking water is being filled into glass bottles and limitlessly provided through your entire stay.

The hotel is managed by the beautiful Mandy, hailing from Germany, who is one of the most friendliest and courteous hosts, sure to make you feel like you are in a home away home, friendly and attentive to making your stay smooth and seamless. Tourism and local life blends comfortably on the island, the hotel providing an atmosphere that is both positive and relaxing. The surrounding beach and waters provides an experience unlike any other to sunbathe and snorkel, dive or for water sports and activities. In short, a memorable stay to wind down, refresh, and reconnect with nature.

Ukulhas is very quiet and lovely, As there are no resorts there alcohol is not available and cannot be brought in That makes it even more perfect, you can get a day trip to a resort if you want to. I loved it there and go out VERTY VERY VERY early and if so you may get to swim with just you and the mantra

Reviewed By jmarti35The hotel has only 6 rooms which gives the chance to the staff to give a personalized attention. The receptionist was always willing to help and talk with us, even giving us coconuts! The breakfast is very good also. They have equipment for snorkeling, which is very nice since it is difficult to bring them from home. Rooms are very new and clean.

Reviewed By vdh7711We only stayed 1 night at the Nala villa hotel. We got a nice big room with a balcony on the first floor. The room was clean and super spacious. The WiFi fast and we managed to stream Netflix. The cook is fast and the meals good. The restaurant area needs some further decorating though. The nearby beach is big with white powdery sand. Lot’s of fish and beautiful shells.The beach beds are for free. The staff at Nala Villa is super friendly and helpful.

The open space of the common areas and our sea-view Deluxe double rooms facilitate a strong connection between the venue and the natural surroundings.
Nice big rooms, but not really value for money
Reviewed By -Man0nTheMove-Nice big rooms, literally a stone throw from the beach. There are only 3 rooms, therefore no buffet breakfast. The common area on the ground floor is spacious and nicely decorated, but we used it only for breakfast, because you are on the beach the whole day anyways. They have no restaurant, but there is an excellent one next door in the bigger neighbouring hotel All in all, everything was ok. Would ee come again? Most probably no, here’s why: The Place is overpriced for what it is. There are similar guesthouses on Ukulhas for a fraction of the price. Next door is an ugly unfinished building site, which will cause a lot of noise when construction resumes. Quite well intended but unprofessional “Management”. The beach on the whole island is public, so there is no beach section which belongs to any guesthouse, the just own the sunbeds. In trying to please their guests, after our arrival the management removed other people from their sunbeds in a very rude way to make space for us, which we don`t even requested and I felt very uncomfortable about because we had no problem taking other unused sunbeds from other guesthouses, most of the time we used another section of the beach anyways. Nobody else beside the “Manager” of our 3room-guesthouse seems to care about which guesthouse name was on the sunbeds because there where more than enough for everybody.

owner's dishonesty
Reviewed By Ilnara DI would like to draw the attention of all visitors to the owner's dishonesty. Upon arrival, you will immediately be given a tourist form to sign and asked to pay for the entire period of your stay. In our case, after checking in and inspecting the rooms, it turned out that the rooms did not correspond to the description, were not too clean, and even with a very specific smell of dampness. we decided to spend only one night at the hotel and refuse to stay for the next 4 and asked the owner to return the money immediately after identifying all the disadvantages. But the owner did not refund in a penny, referring to the form filled out upon arrival where, in addition to personal information, there was a phrase about not refunding funds. We left the hotel that evening and spent our vacation in a wonderful location a few meters from this guesthouse. I would not recommend living here at all to anyone!

Good for budget traveling
Reviewed By odasoreboStayed three nights at moodhu inn. We are backpackers and this hotel fits perfect for our budget. The standard is ok, it's clean and breakfast is very good. The people who worked there were very kind and helpful. We borrowed snorkling equipment and got free washing of clothes. Ukulhas is a beautiful island with an amazing beach.
