Reviewed By AgathaMildewNo A/C, but fans and it cools off in the hills in the evening. I was worried, in July, that I wouldn't sleep, but in fact it did cool off and I did. The rooms are very cleverly designed with bathrooms fitted in old closets. I would go back. East walk down hill into the center of Safranbolu. Breakfast in the garden was lovely.

Reviewed By AliD1956Safranbolu is a gorgeous historic town and you would not find a more lovely place to stay than Dadibra Konak. It is a historic Ottoman house that has been lovingly restored. The owners are warm and welcoming and you will experience true Turkush hospitality. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the breakfast is superb...including fresh breads home made jams and numerous other lovely things with everything served to your liking. The garden is beautiful and restful with tables to have breakfast under a walnut tree decorated with blue eyes..overlooking the town of Safranbolu .it is highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful
Reviewed By Scarlett_MayWe loved our stay here at efe guesthouse. The owner picked us up from the otogar and was very polite and hospitable throughout our stay. The dorm room was clean, comfortable and warm at night, even had a tv. The bathroom was clean and had hot water too. The owner described and showed us the sights on a map, even pointed out some restraints with great Turkish food below (as the breakfast room had glass windows and could see out to the beautiful town below). Would definitely recommend this guesthouse and the location was superb.

The surrounding is truly beautiful and the sound of the river flowing nearby is as enjoyable in the day as it is calming in the nighttime. The location is perfect and the atmosphere of the house is very warm. The landlord makes it even warmer with her kindness and great service. We felt very welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend it.

Reviewed By Departure811861The Asmalı Konak Hotel lies very close to the main sights of Safranbolu. The Tourist Office with a friendly service is only some 20 m away. From the Asmalı you can walk to Cinci Han and to the mosques. Do not leave the uphill area aside because there are some great old konaklar. My room in the hotel had three beds and a sofa/ bench with cushions in Ottoman style. The bed linen had the typical Safranbolu embroideries. I liked those two elements of my room very much. Unfortunately, there was no table and no chair. I had to unpack and pack my suitcase on the floor. There was hardly any electric light in that room. The bathroom and the toilet were in something like a cupboard. When you wanted to have a shower, the water ran across the toilet so narrow it was. At night a lot of noise came from the garden and even more so from the neighbouring hotel. Dinner and breakfast were okay, but nothing out of the world.

Made even more memorable with our wonderful and amazing host Cengiz and gracious wife Fatima. The house in simple and impeccable. Breakfast is devine and we keep looking forward for more. The smell of burning wood from a much used wood oven that also double up as a stove is just mind blowing. Tq so much Cengiz & Fatima. We will never forget U and we will most certainly be back
