Charming Place

Reviewed By Tom42532

My wife and I stayed one night at Artist Quarter. We arrived late and left early the next morning, so we did not have much time at the property but truly enjoyed our short stay. The guesthouse is not easy to find, but its seclusion from the busy streets is part of the charm. There are only two suites, both on a central courtyard across from the owner's home. The room was beautifully decorated and featured high vaulted ceilings and stone walls. The furnishings and fixtures are older but were comfortable and everything worked fine. Breakfast was cooked to order and served hot/fresh on our patio. Delicious. And last but not least, our host was super friendly, accommodating, helpful and cheerful.

The breakfast is very nice, basically Israeli breakfast plus sweets, flakes, coffee, etc - after this breakfast you are ready to make a long trip somewhere around. The rooms are not big but they are comfortable and you have everything you need there.

Zohar Badeshe is a Kibbutz guest house, so that's the first advantage, staying in ground floor wooden huts, where you can enjoy the quiet, unique atmosphere of a Kibbutz. Hotel Manager Pazit, Housekeeping Manager Bat Sheva and all the staff, go out of their way for your stay to be pleasant. This is not just another hotel. Doron is the chef in charge of breakfast, and he gives personal attention, he puts his heart and soul into his work, which he loves. Breakfast is delicious and if you have an appetite in the morning, it's a feast! During summer months (as of June), guests are invited to use the Kibbutz pool. Good location for hikes and interesting places to visit

"This is your home in Nazareth!" said host Odeh Gubran. (photo) It was true! I spent four days in Nazareth, 2 with friends and 2 alone. I stayed at Al Mutran the first trip and it was full on the second but I was at least able to take breakfast there in the morning. I highly recommend Al Mutran. To the weary traveller - used to lugging their own bags and bottling their own water - Al Mutran is an oasis. The care of the host is legendary, and the location cannot be bettered. Breakfast is all-you-can-eat. The room we had was comfortable, had a view of the Nazareth urban hillside and was serviceable, having its own bathroom, kettle and storage. Al Mutran retains a hostel vibe while sporting guesthouse facilities. It felt as if all the guests were family. I spent some time in the 3rd floor living room (decorated in the bathrooms and plumbing are kept in good order and the common areas kept clean. Odeh, Mouna and Rada - I miss them and hope they continue to delight many a traveller for years to come. I really enjoyed staying at Al Mutran. 5 stars
