Unfair management

Owners not understanding at all. I booked online for the wrong date accidentally, and right afterwards I realized and called the properties. I told them the situation and asked to change the dates of the stay, and they said that they were fully booked for the day I needed to be there. They then went on to say that they would cancel the fee and I would not be charged however a couple days later I realized that they charged me and they are not willing to give me my money back. Terrible service. Don't recommend at all. Do not book this hotel. Manager is not friendly at all

Amazing place. New this is why few reviews. I'm from Hong Kong, here with my family. The owner's son who can be easly found at reception it's the masterpiece of the hotel. He is kind, brilliant and let you feel very welcome. The room is amazing! Big, very well furnished. The hot powerful shower is great! Bathroom it's bigger than usual. Remind me Sofitel The Palm @ Dubai a 5 star luxury hotel. So for me the room at Rufis can be easly compared to Sofitel Dubai if not even better. The only negative moment was the first 3 minutes with the receptionist who let us feel uncomfortable and unwanted. I was wearing a normal surgical mask with only mouth covered, she immediatly "command" me to go and buy an ffp2 to the near mall and to cover my nose. Saying it she was not kind but rude and later when show to my wife The door where to enter at night she snap away from her even if she was wearin mask. She let us feel like a black plague victims. What make me upset enough to write this here is.... After a while i was at bar beside the reception another couple checkin wearing the normal surgical mask like me, but to them she doesn't act like plague victims. She doesn't even force them to go mall and buy an Ffp2 mask like did to me. The only difference between me and that couple is my darker skin and my asian wife. The other couple is both white and italian. But this is just a very little and insignificant issue to me. I still love and suggest this hotel to anybody, especially white people. Joke!

The Eichof is one of those special places that you don't come across very often. It is in a stunning setting - a clearing in the woods with a view across the valley to the mountains on the far side of Innsbruck. The air seems particularly fresh and you can watch horses and alpine cows on surrounding farm land or walk down to the nearby lake - Natterszee - or even down to Innsbruck itself. The Eichof is run by a very friendly family - nothing is too much trouble. Great fresh food - with some traditional Tyrollean recipes that my kids loved and preferred to any other food they had in Austria (and that is a massive complement) and a really good breakfast. The rooms were very clean with good ensuites. If you don;t require a TV in your bedroom - the Eichof is a magical place , far from the bustling crowd and a true taste of Tyrollean hospitality. Great for hikers and cyclists and all lovers of beauty.

Good but very ascetic (basic) for this money

Reviewed By Ilyas03

We stayed here with family for one night on the way from Munich to Italy for ski holidays. Standing away from Innsbruck in a picturesque valley, this guest house is surrounded with snowy mountain tops and green grassy meadows, which make an unbelievable view from windows. A slow stroll around by peaceful walking paths will complete your stay and make it a good relaxation after busy urban life. The breakfast is good, sleep is calm and Alpine air is clean. The WiFi signal on the second floor is stable though weak. As we arrived late at night, we could not assess quality of the restaurant at dinner time. Parking is next to hotel and rather convenient. However, the family room we stayed in appeared very basic and ascetic. 4 beds, small tv set, bathroom and toilet room - that is actually all in the room, though it was very clean. No recently popular coffee/tea stations, no fridge or minibar either. For the money we paid it could be indeed provided in the room. In general, our impression was good, especially after wonderful walking around in surrounding areas and nearest village. That really added value to our stay and we left quite satisfied. Recommended for short stay in transit.

Money stolen from room. Hotel management took no action.

Reviewed By Anonnreviewer

We stayed at Hotel Grunwalderhof in July 2021 for 4 nights. During our stay, money was stolen from my wallet (left inside the locked hotel room, inside my suitcase) on 2 different occasions! When I alerted the hotel manager, he said that there was nothing he would do and brushed the issue off. The experience was awful and he offered no apology or compensation for the theft. He obviously didn’t care about serious issues like this happening in the hotel. There is a serious lack of security and accountability among staff that allowed this to happen. Very disappointed and felt scared there was nothing done and guests are treated so poorly. We went to the local police station when we discover the theft and filed a report - and left the hotel immediately. Be very careful if you choose to stay there - I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

What I love about Alpina is that you get away from all the downtown noise, and can enjoy a fantastic view over the city and the mountains. The rooms are clean and up to date with bathroom and television. Try to get a room overlooking the valley. I also like the traditional restaurant down below. Access the place using the public bus from the city center, which you can hear passing by every 20 minutes. From Alpina you can enjoy walks in the forest or go 100% mountaineering if you like.
