Reviewed By Wengcheong Cthe hotel near the hiroshima station, just 12 min by walk you can arrived, the staff both warm and kind, but just can speak japanese. they prepare snack and tea inside the room. the room was japanese style and it's big enough and clean, TV,AC and refrigerator are available. in the room not have shower and toilet, the shower at ground floor, there have a public bathtub inside. this hotel it's satisfy for one night stay.

昭和なお風呂を愉しめる人なら
Reviewed By takashykobayakawa2月上旬の日帰り，家族4人で入浴のみの利用でした。 雪の露天ぶろに入りたくて，でも広島市近辺で道路の状況もよい場所を探していた。はじめての湯来温泉。この旅館の近くには，国民宿舎があって，第2，4日曜日には神楽も楽しめるということだったので，それに合えば，そちらにしたかもしれないが，それには日程が合わず。こちらの方が人は少なそうだったので，迷わずこちらに。 さて，旅館への道は何の問題もなく，快適そのもの。 ただ，施設はずばり，古い。 貴重品はフロントに預け，フロントから男性風呂は，何と非常口をくぐっていく。 脱衣所もお風呂も狭い。でも，愉快。 風呂の中は天井以外はタイル張り。頭を洗っていると天井から水滴が垂れる。湯舟はまるでガウディのデザインのような曲線。ところどころタイルがはがれている。おまけに何故か葉っぱが浮いている。 古い。古いが，昭和のにおいがプンプンする。４０代５０代の人なら，昔こういう趣の造りの風呂を見た記憶がよみがえる。 そこから期待の露天風呂へ。周りは雪。川の音。愉快。 川の向こうは，道路で，ちょっと声を張れば会話できる程度の距離。でも，湯気で気にならない。 時期のせいか，利用客は我々以外にいない。ゆっくり利用した。 何度も書くが，古いので，その辺を愉しめる人なら，楽しい旅館だと思う。 食事はしなかったが，旅館には，囲炉裏が並んだ間があって，そちらも気になったが，それは次回にとっておく。

very quiet and easy to the station and trams
Reviewed By TaranakimaungaSumiya spa and hotel was a great budget hotel and was a nice introduction to Hiroshima. Close to the station and trams, our group of 29 students and adults were also new to using shared facilities, with the showers on the bottom floor, and a shared toilet and basin on each floor were extremely clean. A elevator was very helpful. The use of slippers was a new experience for our students unfortunately there is only one size if you have big feet (size11 to 13) bring your own. There are 2 washing and drying machines so we found you may need to dry your clothes a extra half hour as the recommended time is not enough. The lady desk staff was very helpful and has a great knowledge of English, there is also a prayer room available on the top floor and onsite massage service.

Reviewed By dsas1981A nights stay in a Ryokan in Hiroshima - Sera Bekkan, When we set out on our 15 night trip to Japan we had decided that we must experience a stay in a Ryokan. We were in Japan during the peak cherry blossom season & all the hotel rates had moved up substantially & we felt the full brunt especially as we had decided on this trip just a few weeks earlier. We zeroed in on Ryokan Sera Bekkan in Hiroshima. A comparatively small establishment & within walking distance to the Peace Memorial. The day was bad with a constant drizzle which reduced our enthusiasm & we shelved the idea of going across to Miya Jima. The room was very large with a sitting area &the traditional sliding doors separated the living & bedroom. This area was covered with tatami mats, a 4 seater small legged table with chairs without legs to go with it. The tea set was well laid out on the table. There was a small sit-out looking outwards. There was a mini-kitchenette & separate WC & Bath areas. After the extra small rooms that we had stayed in Tokyo & Osaka this place was palatial. In the evenings the table & chairs were moved to the side & mattresses were put on the floor. In the storage area on the side there were enough & more mattresses in case one was not used to the low slung sleeping position & wanted the sleeping mattresses to be higher! Probably the decision to skip Miya Jima was to enjoy the Ryokan ! We had a lovely night’s sleep & in the morning we were served a typical Japanese breakfast with miso soup, egg to order, a piece of fish, a tofu preparation which was simmering on a burner & a few other items which we had not been exposed to – overall this breakfast was different & quite enjoyable, if for no other reason, than it being an unique experience! We enjoyed our stay in Sera Bekkan no complaints other than that our credit card at check-out didn't seem to connect. So lost some time as we had to give 2 other cards before the matter was sorted out & we did have to rush a bit as we were heading for Osaka & the shinkasen which had a track record of being 36 seconds late was not going to wait for us. The rush to the station was successful & we were in time to board the shinkasen. Overall our experience in Ryokan Sera Bekkan was definitely enjoyable.

It is within 10 minute-walk to A-bomb dome, the museum, Orizuru tower, Hon-dori street, 24/7 supermarket etc…. You can walk to the area easily! It is located very convenient area!! It is built in 2018 so that it is neat & comfortable!! Friendly staffs are waiting for your stay!!
