Our unique bed & breakfast is situated right next to the famous Sanssouci Palace parks and only a few minutes walk from the picturesque Dutch Quarter. Around the beautiful courtyard are the two outbuildings and the summer house, where the stylish and cosy guestrooms are as well as a fantastic breakfast room. The hotel is only a stone's throw from the sights in Potsdam, yet is located in peaceful and relaxing surroundings. The centre of the capital city Berlin is also not far away and can be easily reached with public transport, along with the wonderful countryside of Brandenburg.You will receive a free of charge ticket for the public transportation system for Potsdam and Berlin for the whole time of your stay.

Reviewed By birminghamcorbiereExcellent bed and breakfast in superb location. Easy to find, just a few minutes walk from old Potsdam tourist attractions. Free parking down a fairly narrow driveway to the reception and accomodation. Really nice large ensuite rooms, (ours was up a short flight of external stairs), lovely breakfast, everywhere spotlessly clean. Extremely nice and helpful hosts, happy to provide advice and information on activities/transport etc. One of the best services offered at this B&B is free transport passes, valid for any form of transport around Potsdam as well as into and around Berlin itself. Well worthwhile, as the sights are pretty spread out! We stayed 3 nights and would have been happy to stay at least a week, there is so much to do, and Potsdam is such a great base.

Reviewed By annekscottA really nice location by the lake in the amidst a group of restored agriculture buildings this is more than your usual business hotel although the decor is nothing special, staff are friendly and the intention to minimise the impact on the environment is well implemented. A very good breakfast with a great selection of options. Nice sauna area but the hotel will be improved with the soon to be built fitness centre.

Very charming little Hotel with amazing surroundings.

However, because of unexpected car problems we spent a night at the hotel and was blown away by the charm and kindness of the staff. We've been to more modern hotels with more extravagant facilities but Hotel Zum Alten Ponyhof doesn't need extravagance. It has charm and personality. We woke up to a view of a horde of horses outside the window surrounded by an amazing landscape and it continued a fantastic breakfast buffet downstairs. Of course this was also themed as an old horse ranch, german style. As if the it wasn't enough experiencing the charming hotel, they also have a restautant 2 mins away down the street in the tiny town of Niemegk. It was like stepping into a time pocket - As soon as we opened the door, the smell of quality traditional food came over us. The food is simple and local and very, very tasty. The pricing was very reasonable and the decor was also themed around horses and horse riding. Neither the hotel or the restaurant is the most luxurious we've visited but it gave us so much more, a tiny bite of something real. Our car got fixed on the same day so we didn't get a chance to spend a second night there but this hidden treasure is definitely worth a second visit. 5 stars for a fantastic experience

Perfect for a family
Reviewed By MERILIN VWe visited the hotel with a family - 2 adults and 2 kids (4 and 7) - and we were absolutely impressed about the whole area (the cozy city, the park behind the hotel and the lake), the hotel, the service and the room. We had an apartment with one bedroom, living room, kitchen and a big bathroom. It was very spacious and clean and we loved the small terrace which also was a separate entrance to our room. Our room was next to the car park which also made the stay very easy because with kids You always need something You decided to leave to the car :) Unfortunately we spent there only 1 night. Would love to go back and explore the neighbourhood. Probably the coziest hotel experience!

Unser Zimmer war ausreichend groß und hatte auch eine Küche mit Kühlschrank, Kapselkaffeemaschine, Tassen, Besteck und Tellern. Auf dem relativ hohen Bett war eine extra Auflage, die störend sein kann. Das Frühstück wird von einer externen Stelle ausgeliefert. Wegen der Bewertungen hier haben wir auf das Frühstück im Hotel verzichtet und sind stattdessen in der nebenliegenden Bäckerei Dreißig frühstücken gegangen. Die in vielen Bewertungen erwähnte Badezimmertür ist wirklich speziell. Eine Schiebetür aus Milchglas, mit der man entweder das Zimmer mit Waschbecken und Dusche oder das Abteil mit der Toilette verschließen kann.

The Kräutermühlenhof is located right next to Burg's beautiful gardens in the heart of the Spreewald. Our bed & breakfast has 15 double rooms situated in a quiet and green location. All rooms are set up in a country house style and equipped with a toilet, shower, TV & WLAN. Cars and bikes can be parked nearby. Our staff speaks English, German and Polish. Our neighbouring restaurant Zur Kräutermühle has a cosy beer garden and offers country house style cuisine throughout the whole day. While breakfast will already be included in your room fare, you can also add dinner to your room booking. We look forward to hosting you!

Reviewed By Netti78Had dinner here and while the menu looked inviting, the food didn't deliver and prices were rather high. There was a hair in one of our main dishes and while they offered to re-make the dish, we were now not able to eat our meal together. No other compensation was offered. The service felt rushed as they seemed more concerned with the approaching rain and breaking down the patio rather than customer service.

The bed and breakfast part is somewhat bizarre, but not bad
Reviewed By habeebeeAm Luisenplatz is both a fancy hotel and a distinctly more modest bed and breakfast. To get to the B&B, you check in inside the actual hotel, and are then sent down two corridors and across a courtyard to another building. The hotel itself, far as I could see, must be very comfortable indeed, and is located right on one of the town's main squares. The reception area includes a nice space to sit down and have a cup of tea, and there's an adjoining grand cafe with great cakes and a fairly impressive interior. The persons at the reception are professional. My room was in the bed and breakfast part though. On the one hand, it was huge! A large bathroom, a large kitchen/living room area, and a large bedroom. And all of that for 54 Euro/night, right in the old town centre. The bed was comfortable, and while the B&B area isn't, if I remember correctly, supposed to have free wi-fi, the hotel's connection worked fine. On the other hand, there was a distinct and fairly foul smell in the apartment, centred on the bathroom and extending to the kitchen area. No idea what it was, but it persisted both days. The furniture and decorating of the apartment is a somewhat bizarre, random mix of styles/elements, and overall has a bit of a late-80s flavour. The bedroom door stuck on the carpet and had to be pushed close with force. Wouldn't recommend it for a romantic stay or anything, but (assuming I was just unlucky with the smell) it's good value for money.

Hotel Ebusch offers free WiFi and free on-site parking. The charming rooms at Hotel Ebusch are individually decorated on a precious stone theme. Rooms feature luxury furnishings and an extravagant design. All rooms include a flat-screen TV, electric kettle and private bathroom. This is a convenient base for exploring the Spreewald Forest, a UNESCO nature reserve with lots of streams, river branches as well as various flora and fauna.
