A little out of the ordinary.
Reviewed By Donald RIf I am correct what makes this small half timbered hotel set in Arnberg's Old Town a little out of the ordinary is that it used to be a bakery, in fact a couple of the oven doors are still there for you to see. The en-suite room we had was quite quaint, but it was clean and comfortable, you are close to the bell tower so you can hear the clock chiming from time to time but it was never a problem. Hospitality here was first class, most of the staff speak English and they were always pleasant and helpful which was a great help as my German is pretty minimal. The food here was really good, we were lucky enough to have good weather when we were there so we always had dinner out in the beer garden so we had the best of everything, good food, good weather and excellent German beer, all this in a lovely setting overlooking the town. You can have a typical hearty German breakfast in the morning, well worth having as it will set you up for the rest of the day. If you are driving the car park here is quite small so if you can, do as we did and try and book a parking space before you go otherwise you could end up having to pay to park your car. It can take a little finding but once you are in the Old Town just head up the hill to the clock tower and you are there.

Spendid Hotel, room and breakfast
Reviewed By Matthijs-1965I stayed here for the first time during a swimming Tournament over the weekend. I used to stay “with the neighbours”, but U should have moved to Rodelhaus mich earlier!! Very nice and neat rooms, clean & spacious. The breakfast is very extensive and special requests are served without any issues. Nice staff, very serviceminded. I can highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

If you get the option take a room at the back side. There is a "Landstrasse" in front of the Hotel and that is busy and noise in the morning from 0600-0830

Warm welcome and great food
Reviewed By workandpayWe were 5 guys on motorcycles and stopped here for a night on our way from the UK to the Harz mountains. Ralf and Carola gave us a very warm welcome, and helped us to find a safe place in the grounds to keep the bikes overnight. Ralf is a keen chef and cooked us a very interesting and delicious 5 course dinner in the evening. The breakfast in the morning was great too. They even lent us towels to dry off the bikes before we left.

Nergens zo'n heerlijke Wiener Schnitzel gegeten als hier in Oeventrop/Arnsberg. Complimenten aan de keuken. Ook voor de prijs is dit een zeer aantrekkelijke locatie. Wij gaan zeker terugkomen als wij weer in Arnsberg zijn. Ook de taal is geen probleem want men spreekt vloeiend Nederlands.

Reviewed By 2gertoWe zijn er meerdere malen geweest in verband met het "Pfingstschwimmfest" waar onze kinderen aan deel namen. Door de Covid 19 maatregelen gingen de wedstrijden in 2020 en 2021 helaas niet door anders waren we zeer zeker weer te gast geweest bij Frau Ricarda Müller. Kortom; zeer vriendelijke eigenaresse, alles is netjes en schoon en het pension staat in een prachtige omgeving. 's Ochtends een heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt. De vraag wanneer we hier waren laat ons niet de keuze om het juiste jaartal aan te geven. Omdat we in corona tijd niet geweest zijn de vragen over de maskers etc niet relevant.

Reviewed By Peter TWatch the low ceilings! This is a genuine mediaeval building. Rooms would be a bit quaint anywhere else, but here they were just right. Modern bathroom and excellent furnishings. Free garage space for my motorcycle. Breakfast is down the road at a coffee shop. Interetsing old part of Arnsberg to explore just outside the door.

Reviewed By KBKSEDas Personal Unfreundlich. mangelhafte Ausstattung. Frühstück schlecht. Das W-LAN schlechter Empfang und sehr träge. Die Regen-dusche im Bad Unprofessionell installiert. Die Zimmer sehr laut, man hört die Zimmernachbarn. Licht im Treppenhaus defekt. Keine Hotel eigenen Parkplätze. Im Restaurant krabbeln die Spinen auf den Wänden. Das war ein sehr unangenehmer Aufenthalt, Nie wieder!!!!!!!!
