10 Things to do in Upper Thomson That You Shouldn't Miss

December 22, 2021 Velvet Champine

The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

Bishan Ang Mo Kio Park

Reviewed By ericsycheng - Singapore, Singapore

The Singapore Government spent S$73M to turn this place into a beautiful park for the locals. It’s a engineering feat to turn what was once just a canal cutting across the local housing estates for flood controls into a beautiful park for public enjoyment. It also function as a bird sanctuary, mini butterfly park, horticultural garden. Great place for jogging, bicycling, children play time, dog owners, kite flying, aerobics, tai chi, zumba, etc. It is centrally located in Singapore and easily accessible by MRT, buses and cars. Residents living around it loves the place dearly. It’s open to the public and admission is free. A great place to spend family members and friends.

Windsor Nature Park

Reviewed By Kim025Singapore - Singapore, Singapore

Venus Loop at Windsor park consists of a boardwalk and a forest trail in a loop. I like the forest trail here as it is very peaceful and rustic and I called it "my secret garden". I often walk here after exiting from Macritchie Nature Trail. One can either walk this forest trail to the Tree Top walk or walk the boardwalk section of the Venus Loop to the Tree Top walk. It is a very manageable and easy walk.
