Porto Alegre (local Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈpoɾtu aˈlɛɡɾi] ( listen); Joyful Harbor) is the capital and largest city of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. Founded in 1769 by Manuel Sepúlveda, its population of 1,481,019 inhabitants (2016) makes it the tenth most populous city in the country and the centre of Brazil's fifth largest metropolitan area, with 4,405,760 inhabitants (2010). The city is the southernmost capital city of a Brazilian state.

Excellent park and on Sundays they have a great flee market! You can rent bikes or you can walk/run! Densely green, and you can monitor the city costumes (Gaúchos drinking Chimarrão)!

Great place to view the amazing art deco architecture and have a coffee on the top for a nice view. This used to be a hotel and now converted into a cultural centre. I hope thgis review is helpful : )

This is an university, is good for studying but no to visit for tourism o making business. I don't recomend it to visit.

If you want to catch a game check out this stadium. The fans are amazing they sing throughout the entire match. The area is clean and lots of bars and pubs all around. Great great experience!
