A walk up the (relatively) steep steps to this 'must see' monument on the 'mountain' top is highly recommended. The ruins are spread out over a large but easily accessed area and looked particularly beautiful among the Alentejo spring plants and flowers. The views of the surrounding countryside are stunning.

The guide introduces you in a perfect English to a unique experience: discovering paintings from the Neolithics into a cave preserved enough to let you feel you're back to the stone age. Kids do appreciate the visit too: horses, aurochs, bones... With such an archeological material, it's almost a pity not to have more information about it.

Montemor-o-Novo Municipal Swimming Pool

Reviewed By nunoe2014 - Lisbon, Portugal

The Foundation of this church was a small “Ermida” dated from the end of the 15th century, nothing very special but place to visit when you are in the village.
