Located in a small town this family run hotel was perfect for us to sample the local scenery and attractions Located adjacent to a ruining monastery that is interesting to walk around and close to the park. The pool was a little too cold for my wife but OK for me after a sauna. Room OK but a little basic. Typical for the area

Was there with our grandkids. Had much fun and it was very interesting to watch all the different animals. Were a bit late in the afternoon so we couldn't do the climbing in the trees. Its a cheap entertaining. You just pay a little parking fee and entrance is included.

The Thermal spa was wonderful and very enjoyable especially on a cold Sunday in October. The outside pool is very large and warm. The indoor pool is large and the jacuzzi s and steam room are great too. A good place to take the family of all ages and the staff are friendly and professional, well worth a visit in Winter time.

It is located next to the monasterial ruins but as one is securing the ruins again one is not allowed to go inside, a pitty but understandable. It is a big part of the monasterial ruins of Hirsau Abbey. In 1586 - 1592 had the Württemberg Duke Ludwig von Württemberg, had a three wing-Castle in the Renaissance style built next to the ‘Klausure’ at the Abbot house (architect Georg Beer). Destroyed by French troups in 1692 as castle and monastery were set on fire. First, however, mostly roofs were missing, until 1808 the masonry of castle and monastery also disappeared, it was used for the reconstruction of Calw. Of Castle and cloisters only walls remain, of Church and monastery only the foundations.

When I first heard of this type of artist display I was very sceptical, but thought I will try it once.
This display was innovative, refreshing and absolutely eye opening, it made you feel like you were in the middle Ancient Rome.
What a great use of old infrastuture !!!!!

In the Black Forest, Swabia, Baden-Wurtenberg, the essentials of life - such as food and wine - are usually of a good standard though rather expensive. The Burg Liebenzell Cafe Restaurant takes charges to its own spectacular height.
However the service is always pleasantly efficient, the ambience warming, the views spectacular and the fodder of top quality. Wine comes in traditional small individual decanters and is of excellent quality. The regional Baden-Wurtenberg wines are blessedly unlike the over oaked French vaieties and pehaps smoother than boisterous Spanish Reds; on the other hand a dry white is not usually available.
There is a pleasing variety of tortes and cakes on offer.
The Burg Liebenzell terraces give a splendid opportunity for views over this charming locality but on an Autumn day the traditional Restaurant is the place to wine and dine.

My mother & her partner loved this museum, despite not being able to read German. The museum houses a vast collection of books, photographs & memorbillia on Herman Hesse, his life & family which would interest any fans of the author.
I would have found it more interesting if it wasn't so hot, to the extent that i had to go back downstairs to the cooler floor and wait for my family.
The shop has a good selection of goods including books & calenders and the staff were friendly & helpful.
Admission is normally €5 per person but there are discounts for seniors and those with the Black Forrest Guest Card given out by hotels in the region.
The museum is closed on Mondays.

We were visiting Bad Liebenzell for a conference and my son and I were looking for something to do while my wife was in the conference. We found the park right along the little river in the heart of town.
They had a great area for kids with a slide, zip line, water feature. Sand box (no toys) and climbing area.
The park had a few Fountains and there was a mini golf area just across the river from the kids playground.
We were disappointed when we showed up at 10 am to the mini golf and it said that they don't open until 1:00 pm.
