Great hostal, lovely staff!

Reviewed By edotl

Would definitely recommend this hostal! The building is beautiful, breakfast is delicious and best of all the staff are the loveliest of people! We want to thank Sarais and Aramis specifically for being so kind, friendly and helpful to us with all of our questions. They really made our stay here special and are wonderful people! The owner Richard is really welcoming and lovely and was a huge help so big thanks too! Our one piece of general advice would be to make sure you bring lots of cash with you to Cuba! The exchange rate at the ATM here is so bad that you’ll end up paying 4x the price for everything!!

Highly recommend Paseo to anyone travelling to Havana. The owners and staff are wonderful and have a "can-do" attitude about anything and everything you may need for your stay - tours, taxis, restaurant reservations, etc. The rooms are gorgeous and perfect for a couple's stay. Bonus - They organize the most incredible jazz evenings on Thursday evenings.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide a true and honest review on this Casa. as we did not stay here. Upon our arrival we discovered the owner had overbooked for the night of our arrival and did not have a room for us despite our confirmation by email that we had three nights booked. We took it upon ourselves to find alternative accommodations for our visit to Trinidad

Looked after brilliantly in a fabulous part of the world

Reviewed By TimOldham

We stayed with Daniel (Motica) for four nights and were brilliantly looked after. We had a big room upstairs with the balcony at the top of the stairs to ourselves. Daniel always made sure we had everything we needed and made us wonderful meals, catering for our vegetarian diet. When we had a medical problem out of a trip into Zapata he got us an ice pad and organised for us to see a local doctor, sorting out our travel to the local hotel where the doctor was in residence. His place is very close to the beach but also nice and quiet, we weren't disturbed by any of the parties happening there. It's an excellent location for going into Zapata too - we had two lovely days birding with a local guide, Kiko. While we had to rest up we could watch local life go by too.

Central, Cool, Clean and Carmen will arrange the rest of your stay in Cuba!

Fab location in Habana vieja. Lovely freezing cold room - it was very very hot in August - spotlessly clean, lovely crisp linen, a window, fridge to keep the cold bottled water you can buy there - no need to cart it back from shops, ensuite bathroom, breakfast upstairs on a beautiful balcony with wrought iron railings overlooking the street, delicious breakfast, just round the corner from street vendors wit barrows selling the bets mangoes, avocados and bananas you have ever tasted. At the end of a long day walking about, Carmen was always there with a welcome smile and long glass of cold mango juice. But the BEST part: we had not made any reservations having never been to Cuba before, or S America and we did not want to be stuck to a rigid structure, but we were unsure about transport, internet in Cuba is not very abundant and telephoning expensive from mobiles. So we sat with out map and guideboks, chose the places we wanted to go to and wrote them on a list for Carmen. By the time we had come back from dinner, Carmen had telephoned 'mi amiga' here and 'mi amiga' there and she had boked us up the casas and all the transports in the fantastic cars. We did not have to lift a finger and all the casas she recommended were fab, friendly, clean and helpful. we stayed in total about 10 days going away and returning before the next part of out trip.

Excellent Place to Stay in Vinales

Reviewed By Ferg600

I stayed here on my solo trip to Cuba and it was the perfect place to stay in beautiful Vinales. Ignacio & Raiza were wonderful hosts and made me feel at home. I was only planning on staying for a few nights but extended. They were incredibly helpful on information and tours, picked me up from the bus station and the breakfast and rooms were top class. What I liked about the home was that it's a little out of the town and had a beautiful view overlooking the countryside. The highlight was Christmas dinner where they prepared a feast. My stay was exactly what I was hoping for. Would highly recommend.

The best casa in Havana

Reviewed By Marklondon81

My wife and I have stayed in maybe 8 casas over 5 stays in Havana and this one was by far our favourite. The location is excellent and very central - only a 2 minutes walk from Capitolio and the bustling streets of Obispo and O’Reillys. The casa is run by Omellio and he is helped by Patrica and who made breakfast for us each morning . The breakfast was typical of what you get in Cuba:- a mixture of fruits , bread, ham, cheese and eggs/ omelette . The rooms had high ceilings and were airy and spacious . There was a lovely area to sit out side to relax/ eat breakfast . But the thing we loved most about the casa was Omellio and the two ladies . They were so friendly and welcoming and really made us feel like friends who were staying in their home. Omellio could not have been more helpful when we needed anything - such a lovely man ! When we go back to Cuba we will definitely be staying here - I would recommend it highly to anyone
