Reviewed By S235TNclaralI was nervous travelling as a solo traveller for the first time but the team at Surf and Yoga immediately made me feel like I was part of the family, at my home away from home. The camp is situated on beautiful open grounds with vast views where the nature is right on your doorstep. I personally loved the monkeys! My days always began with the most delicious and nutritious breakfast made by Madu. I am a notoriously fussy eater but the team were so kind and accommodated all of my dietary requirements no questions asked, this went for dinner too which was equally as varied and scrumptious after a packed day. I filled my time with surfing, learning the basics from the coaches really helped me improve my technique and im already itching to get back in the sea! I loved coming back and unwinding with some yoga. All in all I had the most unforgettable experience at surf and yoga Arugam bay, I've made friends I will never forget, learnt new skills and most importantly made memories to last a lifetime!

Beach side bliss
Reviewed By clairel123456I stayed at Drift for one week and it was perfect. The room was so clean and organized with useful shelving and storage space. The room had AC and an electric fan which was so helpful to combat the heat. And to top it all the bed was so comfortable. The front porch and hammock in the yard were perfect for relaxing. Drift is a convenient walk to the beach or stroll to the main strip in town. The owner, Kannan, is so kind and very friendly. He provided great recommendations for local services and he went out of his way to ensure we had a great time in Arugam Bay. He even cooked us dinner!! Nothing but great things to say about this place. You won't regret booking your stay here.

I went to Arugam Bay and I arrived at Comfort Beach Hotel just for a week (to see how it was) and it was so confortable and the guys there (Saheer and Salfiyar) were so helpful that I decided to stay the 3 months with them!! Rooms are perfect. Confortable bed, very good fan (enough even during the summer) and always clean. I've used the kitchen as if it was my own house. It was really confortable and relax. I won't hesitate to stay with them next time in A Bay. Thanks for everything. I will be back for sure!

' Farouk ' the owner is very kind and caring person. he prepares foods his own hands, very delicious. De perla is very close to surfing place. i was there by my car but if you need Farouk will provide you his tuk tuk service if required. they have both wooden and cement rooms, i was staying at wooden room, fan and attached bathroom available. it was a perfect stay, highly recommend . again thank you so much ' farouk ' for everything. as you requested me to visit there with my family, yes definitely i will visit you soon.

Reviewed By ALMoonRoom not ready when we arrived at 4pm, we were the only people staying there. Room was filthy, toilet filthy, toilet seat broken. Fridge full of stale water, safe broken. Shower drain filthy. Had to ask for toilet paper (there was none), glasses, beach towels. No water provided. Credit card machine not working. Bird excrement all overs dining chairs, tables and floor. Restaurant all askew and dirty. Sunbeds and mattresses awful. See photos!

Reviewed By Dennis SRelaxing and quiet place close to the beach. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. Kitchen and laundry facilities available. Laundry for a good price. Great trips including safaris are offered at the hotel.

Reviewed By Croakey666Booked to stay but arrived and left shortly after! Room was dark and damp. In the bathroom the toilet had leaked all over the floor, there were huge ants (not the normal little ones!) climbing all over the wall, the bathroom didn’t appear to have been cleaned in a long time. There are much better options available for the same price in the area.
