Pernambuco (Portuguese pronunciation: [pɛʁnɐ̃ˈbuku]) is a state of Brazil, located in the Northeast region of the country. The state of Pernambuco also includes the archipelago Fernando de Noronha. Considered by some to be the best beach in the world, this is certainly my favorite. The beach can only be reached by a walk through a wooded area along a boardwalk, followed by a descent down a long ladder through a rock crevice. Access to the beach is restricted, and is never crowded. Indeed, there are few people and if you go early in the morning, the beach is all yours. One needs to purchase a pass to obtain entrance to the national park beaches on the island of Fernando de Noronha. I felt it was certainly worthwhile to support the conservation efforts and maintenance of Noronha’s many beaches. Your pass gives you access to all the beaches in the park system.

Lovely island with breathtaking scenery and many beautiful beaches. Lots of good restaurants and friendly people. Unfortunately we had some rainy weather and the ocean was not that clear. We did see some marine life but no turtles. Bring bug spray!

Greenish blue Caribbean-like waters. A true paradise. The water changes colors according to the tides, from light green to infinite blue. There is only on free access to the beach though, otherwise you have to pay a day-use fee to the restaurants or pousadas around in order to park your car and use their chairs. There are no kiosks or vendors on the beach, so using the restaurants´structure might be necessary if you want to spend the day there.

A place to rest and take a lazy day. If you want to do some sports have a lot of options to choose. The sea is so beautiful and warm. A place very good to know and go.

I was at Tabapitanga Lodge in front of this beach ! With low tide you can enjoy for a nice walking on the sand !
