In the vicinity of a small town of Grosuplje, around half-way to castle Turjak, lies the underground karst cave Županova jama cave. Formed trough millennia of running underground water, the cave was discovered by a local mayor in 1926 and is thus called The Mayor's Cave. Today you are welcome to visit seven underground chambers, richly decorated by flowstone forms.

Visited the cave on 2nd January. Hidden gem in the middle of the forest, 1000 steps all around. Great guide, interesting information and stories (German movie Vinetoe and slovenian movie Kekec were also filmed in the cave). You can see a lot of bats (small and big), hanging really near you. Also some other cave animals. All in all, great cave, even greater guide! I recommend to visit (it takes about 1 and a half hours).

It’s less than 5 min easy walk from the parking to the River Krupa Spring. From there it is possible to continue your walk, across a suspension bridge to a nearby viewpoint - we didn’t do it because the path behind the bridge was steep and muddy after rain.

WHO ARE WE? Our family has had this farm for 26 years. Since we are all big fans of animals, our farm has been growing, and this year we decided to show it to public and opened a small Animal Park. Our park is a home of many animals; domestic and exotic. On our farm, people can see Shetland and mini ponies, zebu cows, various types of pigs (Mangalica, Konekune, Minnesota pig), various types of chickens, geese, ducks, and pigeons. Moreover, we have a black swan, nandu, gutteta guinea fowl, grey crowned crane, various small birds, turaco, etc. We also offer a rich horticulture and a playground for children. Our visitors come to relax and enjoy nature. It may be a small farm, but it has a soul. Out motto is to take it easy, forget about the time and enjoy. We are located at the following address: Sela pri Dobovi 117, 8257 Dobova, Slovenia It is in the vicinity of town Brezice and Spas Paradiso and Catez. Our working hours are Tuesday and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.; however, our season begins and ends depending on the weather. In July in August the opening hours are between 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. WELCOME :)

At first we thought it was a small ZOO, but it is quite big. The staff is friendly, and if you ask something about the animals, you will get the answer (like a private guided tour ????). It has a lot of animals (not just farm animals). I highly recommend it!
