Excellent remote walking tour of the old city of Tbilisi with Bacho via internet. The technology worked well and Bacho has perfect English. Bacho is a friendly and very well informed guide. It was wonderful to get a taste of this beautiful and interesting looking city in the only way possible in current circumstances. I have never been to a place this magnificent, the beauty of the sceneries was overwhelming. I am so grateful for FixTravel for organizing an amazing day tour trip for me, they provided a private tour guide Mari. The whole plan they had for me was very well organized and filled with amazing spots. Mari was very knowledgebale and professional, she told the history of every place we visited in a very interesting way that keeps you wanting to listen and know more. I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend in Tbilisi with a colleague and was given Rati's name (Splendid Tours Georgia) as a guide. What an amazing experience from his pick-up at the airport, to his drop-off at the end. Friday we spent 11 hours with Rati and Saturday we spent the day until he dropped us off for our flight. Rati is beyond knowledgeable. If you ask: "what's that", you not only get the answer but the history as well. He listened to what we wanted to do, went above and beyond to show us around, and arranged the most fun-filled, historical, informational weekend adventure. Rati will customize the tour to your likes. There's so much to see in Georgia that it's definitely beneficial to have a knowledgeable guide to take you. Rati speaks amazing English and can also speak Georgian (of course) and Russian. You won't go wrong with Rati!

Hiking with Pavel and Nino was one of the most amazing adventures ive had on my 2+ years of traveling. They were super well organised, really fun, outgoing people and made everyday a new adventure. we booked this Tour from Tbilisi to Mtskheta, Ananuri, Gudauri e Kazbegi, in selling description was complete of driving and professional guide in English. We started to visit the Svetitskhovely Cathedral and we were waiting for an explanation or some informations from the "guide" but he said nothing and only gave us his mobile with Wikipedia webpage dedicated to the Cathedral. After this also in the other Churches he made the same offer. We, of course, read by ourselves the informations about monuments but wasn’t the service we asked. From a driving point of vew this guy was a very good driver, he was also a nice person but it was a pity that didn't tell us any information about the interesting places. He was only a driver not a touristic guide! We had to check for all the time Wikipedia on internet....And for the amount (EUR €163,64 for two persons) we expect a different treatment. We wanted only a normal general guide but he didn't say NO ONE WORD, nor historical, nor religious, nor about nothing. We told everything to the chief Mr Goga Gogadze asking back part of money for missing guide but he avoided his responsibilities. Be sure to have an official touristic guide!!

It was a short call when I started to explore opportunities for a next-day Kazbegi trip. MegaCity people ( thank you, Nina!) were extremely helpful and managed to find me a driver for the next day. Driver Moris was also an excellent guide, so I enjoyed the day-trip (10-19) very much! Big advantage of having a car of your own is a more flexible and perhaps more tailored agenda. The traffic on the road maybe very heavy, so one might want to have more stops than the tour bus can afford. It is definitely a destination to go for - mountains, views, churches, hiking opportunities, tunnels to protect from avalanches etc - it is more than you can grasp, so, if possible, make at least one night stay-over at Kazbegi.
