Reviewed By Monkeyboy45Champa Lodge is situated on a bend on the Preaek Tuek Chhu River and has beautiful views on both directions. We stayed in the Boat House with a gorgeoud=s river aspect. The Lodge comprises of 4 or 5 large beautifully built cabins / houses on stilts that were actually built elsewhere, dismantled and then rebuilt in situ and totally fit the surroundings. There is a gorgeous garden with plenty of places to chill out, play games, sit and watch the river go by, or to just relax in the hammocks. You can rent out kayaks, or paddle boards to traverse the green cathedral, or hire a motobike to head to The Bokor national park. The food served is great, which is good as there isn't really anything else within walking distance. There was a really good selection of Kymer and Western (French/ Belgian) influenced dishes. The included breakfasts are delicious too! There is such a lovely chilled vibe here that made us wish we had sent more than 2 days here.

A great choice for Kampot
Reviewed By pigpenkateWe liked the feel of this guesthouse and so extended our stay to one week. The place is very clean, spacious rooms, good a/c, great hot showers and most of all Nyta who runs the place is very friendly and kind. She also speaks excellent English so can give you lots of tips. Highly recommended!

We were lucky to stay in the room which faced the main road as it was not as loud as on the other side where construction is going on every day. They didn't have laundry and bike rent at the time though it was advertised throughout the hotel. Staff is nice.

Reviewed By mrdellerWe stayed here originally for two nights but extended our stay. The staff were friendly, English was very good. We rented a scooter from the hotel and we went to the national park which is miles away and ended up with a flat tyre. Called the hotel and he managed to get somebody to come and change it for us very quickly. Great location, nice basic rooms. Only disadvantage was the rooster every morning from about 4am.....

Reviewed By MeralinaThis hostel is located a few kilometres outside the city centre. If you want to be close and at the same time far away from the centre, then this hostel is a good option for you. I strongly recommend to rent a bicycle or a motorbike. It is necessary because: - Tuk tuk drivers wait in the city centre for their clients. It depends on your luck to find one outside the centre. - Renting means of transport is much cheaper than using tuk tuk for moving around. - Some wrote here they rented a bicycle for 5 USD per day. Be careful this price is not correct. I rented a bicycle for 2 USD per day by a travelling and bicycle rental office in the centre. - Check your bicycle or motorbike first. Be sure it has enough strong front and back light. There are NO streetlights in some parts of the way between the city and the hostel.

Nice place
Reviewed By Jmescal11111Nice place, but their pool is full of unsupervised, loud young kids. Maybe the staffs children. They made relaxing or using the pool with my family impossible. Otherwise, good rooms and nice central location

My baggage was lost at the airport and Cheang was so helpful in talking with the airport to get it back to me and letting me borrow his phone. I am so thankful for his help. Additionally, our river bungalow was so cute with a beautiful view. All the staff is so friendly and the food was delicious. We enjoyed using the free kayaks as well!

Great value place
Reviewed By Anton_CRDT_ToursShawn the manager is a hell of a guy. Was looking for a cheap place to stay as I was running out of money, had no debit card and the banks were closed. He let me stay for the night for free, until I got my money. He was full of interesting stories and glad to share them with me. Very cool guy. So, I slept in the dorm, was only 3 bucks and I was the only one in it, good stuff. The place has a nice balcony over the river of which you can see Kampot City (with all its lights at night). I decided to stay for another night. The place has a nice little garden, bar, pool table and is properly cleaned (good cleaner). When you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of town, this place at the other side of the river is the place to go. Will go there again whenever I'm back in Kampot.
