"Guest House Wakabaya" is a Japanese style guest house opened in 2014 summer. It's located just 5 minutes walk from Hanazono station. You can choose a mixed dormitory or three private rooms. The bed in the dormitory has an outlet, small light, security box and curtain each. The private room is traditional with tatami, shoji and old fittings. The bathroom, kitchen and living room is common use.

He goes out of his way to make himself available if you ever need any help, or if you just want to talk. My room was nice and comfortable. The guesthouse is in a convenient location with easy access to transit.

At a place which is 2 minutes walk from Kotoden Kawaramachi station, a dormitory like a secret base was made. 5 years ago, I opened the chinese-tea cafe “ Choix Chinois” here, because I hoped to introduce chinese culture. I asked my husband , who is a furniture craftman, to renovate the building which used to be a warehouse. And now I refurbished it. On the second floor I made bunk beds so you can stay and I gathered water-using places at the half space of the first floor. I think this is a compact and functional dormitory. I hope that not only chinese but people around the world come and enjoy Kagawa to the full.

Reviewed By injuredplatypusStylish small hostel with nice (and unique!) sized bunks. The bunk room looks like an architect from one of the artsy islands designed it. Cafe and lounge downstairs too. Close to the train station. If you’re staying here I recommend a trip to a really nice onsen if you’re interested. It’s called Busshozen.

Great stay with some prep
Reviewed By Dallas MThis would have been amazing if we’d been a bit more prepared. Great kitchen but stock up before you go to prepare a few meals as restaurants can be booked out or not open. The courtesy shuttle bus is great but busy. Also make sure you arrive with cash as cards aren’t accepted.

Nice hostel
Reviewed By Matej MWe stayed here for two days and used it as a base for exploring near Naoshima and Teshima islands. The design of the hotel and choice of materials are pretty neat, however the rooms are much smaller that it seems on photos to the degree it might feel a bit cramped. There is a bar/reception downstairs which offers great breakfast and good beer on evenings. The location is terrific, almost everything important is in the walking distance. (the pier, train station, shopping street...) The only serious letdown is the absence of a common room, which I consider crucial for a hostel-type accommodation. However considering scarce total floor area, it is totally understandable.

Honest hostel in Honest Island
Reviewed By siopaosmomIf you find yourself in Naoshima, this hoestl can be a good option of an overnight stay. It's just a short walk from the Miyanoura Port and across the Tourist info office. A cycle rental, Cinn.a.mon - a hip resto bar, and 711 are just short walk away. Yayoi Kusama's Red Pumpkin is just literally across by the boulevard where is a good place to bike or run around and watch the locals fish or the boats & ferry come & go.

Reviewed By 瑞彬 謝It takes only two minutes to go to Kawaramachi station. The guest house is near the biggest and busy shopping area in Takamatsu. Besides, it offers comfortable environment of accommodation. It is definitely a good place to stay in Takamatsu. 來高松將近一個禮拜，Traditional House 十分便利，位在高松市中心的瓦町車站旁邊。Host人也非常Nice，英文日文皆可溝通 住宿環境也相當不錯

Reviewed By emlomenzoThe staff person and owner were very available to help me with WiFi and getting settled. My bit server worked fine in all other places in Japan but not in their guest house. Also the bikes are terrible....despite being told that I could ride around the island ( even though the bikes were not electric) I in fact could not. I am a very experienced daily biker in London but those bikes were useless. V Rey v v heavy and I needed to walk them up to the museum despite being told I could ride anywhere on the island. They are heavy and a very strange design. Ditch the bikes and either get electric bikes or no bikes. Plus I had to pay for them. Also, pillows were extremely uncomfortable...large box shaped pillows that were very hard and high. Please get small soft pillows. Sheets and bedding otherwise perfect. Nice large rooms. No breakfast really to choose from except sliced white air bread. Loved location...but a bit overpriced for a dorm set up.

Reviewed By Ayako MThe staff was very helpful to show the place very cleanly how to use and welcomed me in the room although it was in the morning. I visited Naoshima in January and it was not a very shiny day, not many people were visiting and I was only one who stays in the guesthouse. I think if I stayed in the peak time review can be different. Anyway, The room, bathroom, and bed were super clean and food in the restaurant was awesome and many other restaurants were very close too. Somehow their bedding was very comfortable and I slept very well. The Naoshima public bath was just in front of the guesthouse! That was the biggest reason I stayed there and I enjoyed it. I recommend to anyone who is looking for the budget stay! I thought the price was bit high but in Naoshima, it is actually cheap with what you get there.

Reviewed By mariapN2061JMWe had dinner in the restaurant, and was amazed that this was one of the best okonomiyaki I’ve ever tried in Japan. Unfurtunately we were already staying at another place, but took a pick in the rooms, these were spotless. Everything you need, simple but equipped and clean.

Reviewed By dote2924女子二人で二泊三日いかせていただきました。オーナーは物静かな人ですが、対応していただいた時はいつも笑顔でした。自然に囲まれているので虫は出ますが、オーナーさんがすぐに退治してくれます。私達はよく飲むので、飲み放題のお酒が希望するお酒がなくなりましたが、スーパーまで車で連れていってくれました。釣りの希望にも優しくアドバイスくださりました。二泊三日でとても優しく、しかし上手い距離感で接していただきとても満足です。何よりお安い！また行きたいと思う宿です☺️
