Lunch pretty average
Reviewed By OneAddictedTravelerAfter the Salt Cathedral we stopped for lunch. The food was ok and the service also. Although we ate inside, the view from the patio is very good. Reminder: we did not lodge here but only came for lunch.

Very nice small hotel. Best in town
Reviewed By neilpM3206PONot that we checked all the hotels but I think it likes deserves the top rating in town. Very very clean. Very friendly staff. Rooms are decent size. No closet or ironing board but if your in town here you likely don't need either. The breakfast is plentiful and if you call down they will bring to your room.

Reviewed By kander27Easy access to the Salt Cathedral and a lovely staff. Patricia at the front desk was helpful in organizing a taxi for me the next day to Bogota. And when a large group was coming in that night, she moved my room (upgraded!) to another part of the hotel that would be more quiet. Would recommend.

Wish we could stay longer
Reviewed By jaap60This boutique hotel is situated in an old townhouse, near the central plaza. All rooms are located around the courtyard. They are tasteful and clean. And have a very, very good shower! But the best selling point is the outstanding hospitality of the owners. They do everything to accommodate you and they were very helpful for us to arrange further transport. Their service is above any standard! We can recomment this place!

Lovely little hotel providing value for money in the heart of Zipaquirá
Reviewed By MuirisBACWe stayed at Hotel Estacion Sabana after deciding to spend a night in Zipaquirá after visiting the Salt Cathedral and mines, which is more than likely what brings you to Zipa if you are a passing tourist. The hotel provided great value for money, the double room we stayed in had a massive and extremely comfortable kingsize bed, a nice large shower with plenty of hot water and all usual mod cons. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful with any questions we had. A major bonus was the option to have breakfast brought to your room at no extra price, although the breakfast itself was basic. If you are looking to stop over in Zipaquirá for a night as part of your visit to the Salt Cathedral, it is quite a nice town to spend a day in, and Hotel Estacion Sabana is a fine place to stay if you choose to do so. The only downside of our stay was that the wifi would not initially connect for us for several hours, despite repeated attempts, although the hotel must be congratulated for having a seperate modem on each floor. Overall a great place to stay.

Reviewed By vallej079Pagas por el desayuno incluido, pero a la hora del mismo te toca salir a buscar 2 supuestos restaurantes, con vale (papel con tu nombre para reclamar un desayuno), sales del hotel, encuentras estos sitios pero cerrados. No recomiendo tomar la opción de desayuno incluido. Lo positivo la ubicación y la amabilidad de la recepcionista ( Mery). Falta insonorización.

Reviewed By Colombia-road-travelI live in Medellin and travel extensively throughout Colombia (as a TripAdvisor Destination Expert for Colombia) and have tried literally a thousand restaurants, hotels/hostels, beaches, places of interests, parks, towns and cities here in Colombia over the past decades and so this visit to Zipaquira is my 5th over the past 15 years with my last visit being in 2012. I decided to stay 2 nights and 3 days before moving along to Bogota and choose Hotel Esmeralda Plaza and my hotel and frankly I am please with the hotel. Friendly enough of a welcome when I arrived, the room was relatively clean and everything worked in the room, the bathroom are nice and it had the hottest water in the shower that I have seen in months on this long road trip, decent wifi, the included breakfast is simple but sufficient way to start the day, the walk to centro Zipa is 15 minutes and takes 30 minutes to walk to the Salt Cathedral, the beds are good, relatively quiet at night, and all this for 50,000 pesos! So great value. You have a number of choices to stay in Zipaquira and why not consider Hotel Esmeralda Plaza.
