White House offers comfortable air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms and a long stretch of balcony facing the picturesque & serene Hamilton Canal where you can see boats passing. It's only 8 kms away from Colombo and 15 kms to the airport.
Wonderful welcome to Sri Lanka
Reviewed By akka_barbaraMy sister and I stayed at Dana and Lalith's White House guesthouse at the end of November. They gave us a wonderful welcome to Sri Lanka and sent us onward into our adventures well-fed, rested, and smiling. The White House is well-positioned between the airport and Colombo and this worked really well for us because our flights landed at different times. For a reasonable fee, Lalith provided late night transport back to the airport to pick up my sister. We stayed for two nights in order to take it easy on the first day after we arrived because one of us came off a very long flight. And when we were ready, it was easy to catch a local bus from in right front of the guesthouse into Colombo to the train station for our onward travel. Our room at the White House was clean with a big comfortable bed, a good shower with reliable hot water, a ceiling fan and a/c, and a nice balcony; although we didn't use that, it was sweet to lie on the bed and look out the open doors at the morning and see flowering trees and hear the birds. The guesthouse is on a busy road and it's noisy but we knew that going in and earplugs made it ok for sleeping. Dana and Lalith are great hosts and I really enjoyed their company and our many long conversations - and of course the very good breakfasts. I recommend the White House for Dana and Lalith's warm welcome and hospitality, and for the comfort - and the convenience if you need to stay close to the airport. I look forward to my next visit.

Reviewed By Alison CAfter booking this place threw booking.com and it looked good, had good reviews and stated good facilities i.e restaurant, spa, pool. After arriving in a very quiet area out of the center we noticed strate away something was not right. We asked was the restaurant open he said no it has not been there for past 2 years also the spa has not been there either! So it's all false advertising! The receptionist wasn't concerned we refused to stay and got a taxi out of there! While we were also there the guest we seen was complaining about there being no hot water. Definitely avoid this place, also the pool was so dirty. It's under as YOLO TASKANS VILLA on booking. Com but this is the place.

Motel Harbour Front is a forty years old house recently fully renovated with lots of antique furniture, situated in beach front. The Guest House has 4 rooms with Air Condition. Large, homely living areas are good for long stays.

Плюсы: недалеко от аэропорта, вкусный завтрак, в номере есть кондиционер, хозяева добродушные. Минусы: находится в каких - то трущобах, не очень чисто, все очень странно пахнет, выходишь от туда с каким-то "душком", хозяева придумывают свой курс обмена при обсуждении оплаты проживания на месте. Потом понимаешь, что с тебя сдали лишнего. Понятно, страна бедная, люди , зарабатывают как могут, но было не приятно. Совет: оплачивать в долларах, иначе в рупиях вам насчитают как вздумается.

This hotel is located between two cities Wattala and Kiribathgoda. From airport it's only 25 minutes from highway. We have comfortable rooms, swimming pool, restaurant and bar, pool tables, spa, WiFi facilities, good security. It's an ideal place for your economical budget.
OMG , WHAT A CRAPY HOTEL
Reviewed By Damien Indika JVERY RECENTLY I have visited this hotel with my mates and it was shocking to me that how that hotel staff and owner is operating that hotel, very filthy room, toilets are very bad and greasy type inside the bathroom tiles, bed lines and bath towels are absolute discussing. Rats and cats ruining around near Room no 63, Guys plz dont waste your money, pay some good money get into a star hotel of there is a possibility, worth it
