Reviewed By Nclaude1966Pictures are always better looking then in reality. If you want to visit the sauna area bring your own towels from the room as in the sauna there are none. In front of our roomdoor there is a pile of forniture. Massages and treatments completely sold out days in advance. Infrastructure quite old and would need a rewamp.

Good value accommodation outside Schluchsee

Accommodation was clean, spacious, comfortable and peaceful if a little dated but for what we paid was good value. Situated a 5 min drive from Schluchsee. The Black Forest tourist card that they give you gives you entrance free or discounted into a number of attractions and we also used it to travel to Freiburg on the train for free. Breakfast was extra and was OK, quite a limited selection but adequate. We are in the restaurant 3 times and food was great, although the English translation a bit hit and miss. There is a little kids play area with climbing frame etc. Would recommend as good value base for exploring the area if you have a car.

Loved the place
Reviewed By T0nyfWe only had time to stay for one night, but it was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious including the bathroom. Everything was clean and had a cozy feel to it. We were unable to eat there as the restaurant was closed for the night. Per their recommendation, we ate the Hotel Schiff. Great choice. The bar at Wochner's was open for a night cap, which created a perfect ending of our day.

Excellent Food, Poor Service
Reviewed By Warner SThis could have been a really excellent experience, but the service really detracted from the meal. Initially, service was very attentive taking our order. Then it was a bit of a wait until our meals came out. They were hot and fresh, so I think the kitchen was just backed up. My wife and I both had excellent filets with vegetables, mushrooms, and potatoes. Really a great entree! Unfortunately, once the server dropped off the food, he never returned to the table. He visited each of the tables in close proximity to us multiple times, but never came back to ours. We waited for a long time and even tried to get his attention but were ignored. Since we appeared to be the only Americans in the restaurant at the time, we felt that may have had something to do with it. By the end of the meal and after being ignored so long, my dad felt strongly enough where he didn't want to pay. We stopped at the counter/host stand on the way out and did pay, but it was a real shame that we didn't have a better experience, especially considering the food was so good.

Reviewed By RcdrichWe stayed here for two nights off season. We felt that the rooms were a little over priced for the time of year, but they were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good too. Easy walk into town from the pension.

Reviewed By 524alpergWe visited Schluchsee this summer and stayed by the Regina Appartements. The location is very good inside the forest just walking distance to Schluchsee. A lot of parking places. The rooms are quite comfortable with balconies. The grocery store is very close as well. It has very big nice swimming pool, sauna, and fitness salon. For the families it is a nice place. WiFi connection from the hotel is very weak in the rooms.

Reviewed By BC004019There was loads of space and it all seemed to be clean and tidy as we arrived. Beds weren’t very big or comfortable. Food is great for the price. Most staff are friendly and helpful although we had an issue with one off the staff who wouldn’t let us book a table and wouldn’t return the €40 you get with the Schwarzwald cards at the of your stay. Average or just below would be a fair rating!

Big Disappointment
Reviewed By Pablo Eric DThe hotel is a good location with the Schluchsee in front but it's placed near a noisy road/rail with continuous traffic night and day. The room service is very poor (not clean at all) and the hospitality of the stuff is unsatisfactory. Biggest surprise is the breakfast with little portions and no variation at all. There where some pieces of breads (max. 3) and you become the feeling that you cannot ask for additional ones. This is a tipical example how the pandemic is misused in order to save their money. The service in the breakfast was extremely bad-tempered. The food in the restaurant of the hotel was expensive and with very bad quality. At the end the hotel wanted to charge us a huger price than accorded, this we refused automatically. We do not recommend this hotel since there are a lot of more is the area.

Die Mitarbeiterinnen sind zuvorkommend, freundlich und sehr aufmerksam . Die Zimmer bieten genügend Platz und sind mit allen wichtigen Dingen ausgestattet. Dort kann man sich nach den Wanderungen sehr gut erholen. Das Sporthostel bietet viel Platz. Das Essen ist selbstgemacht, regional und schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Dem Alltag entfliehen, nette Menschen kennenlernen, Tradition genießen, das kann man hier.
