Reviewed By Maven1988We headed to Mt. Daisen to have lunch at Sanrakuso. We had syuojin ryori or traditional Buddhist vegetarian meal consisting of 12 different dishes. It was a feast! Yes, all of them were from vegetables, flowers, and other plants! They all tasted good! The plates, saucers, and other utensils used were instagrammable! If you can understand Japanese it will be nice to hear an explanation about the dishes by a monk who supervises the place. I also loved the ambience. I will surely go back someday if I have a chance.

Reviewed By Thaddeus1983My partner and I have stayed at Daisen Backpackers 5 times in the last 2 years, and we absolutely love the place! It’s a clean, comfortable, affordable and very well maintained place to stay while hiking, skiing or snowboarding on Mount Daisen or enjoying some of the other great things that there are to do in the surrounding area – such visiting the Shōji Ueda photography museum or one of the many local onsen. As a fan of both photography and onsen, I can recommend both. The guesthouse is self-catering, but everything you need to make a delicious breakfast is included in the price (milk, coffee, fruit, eggs, delicious local yoghurt, and the best homemade bread I’ve had in years!), and the kitchen is very well equipped. The wifi connection is also strong and reliable. And, if you have a car, there is convenient off-street parking directly in front of the property. What's more, the owners are lovely people and will make you feel at home while giving you the space you need to relax and unwind at the end of a long day on the mountain. If you’re looking for a place to stay in this area, then look no further.

Suite rooms with an additional private outside bath, all amenities supplied, extremely comfortable beds, great food, very friendly staff, nice views of Mt Daisen and Yonago town. Will definitely visit again and I recommend you to stay at this hotel if in the area.

One of the best place to enjoy the Daisen area
Reviewed By sewonhanIt is just in front of the Daisen ski slope. Actually it was a ski-hotel in the winter season. You could see the summit of Daisen mountain through the window of the room. I booked the Japanese style room so it was quite large compared to other Japanese hotels. It served dinner and breakfast, they were traditional Japanese style unless you separately ordered, menus were nice and not so heavy. You might not find other place to have dinner outside of the hotel around that area. It offered public bath as other Japanese did, but it didn't look a onsen. I was there in the middle of summer, but it was not so hot because it was in the upper mountain area. The manager in the front desk was very kind and much helpful to get the information about Daisen area, but it should be much better if he could be speaking better English. It took 3 minutes from the hotel to the Daisen national park parking lot by the car, so you could easily enjoy the Daisenji's Lantern Lighting Festival in August. We really enjoyed it. But you might not walk down to the Daisen national park parking lot from the hotel after 18:00 due to lack of the street lights. Remember that the Lantern Lighting Festival was begun from 19:30. The hotels in Daisen area looked quite old, however I suppose the prices were reasonable because of the location.

Reviewed By 塾長忙しい時期にもかかわらず急な宿泊にも丁寧に対応して頂きました。大山に初めて登ることを伝えると登り方やペースの保ち方など教えて頂き、本当に助かりました。全てのスタッフの方々がとても親切で暖かい気持ちになりました。夕食のジンギスカン食べ放題も美味しくいただきました。下山後のお風呂までいただき本当に助かりました。

Reviewed By あっき～・８６いろいろな書き込みがあり、良いと思う人。悪いと思う人さまざまかと思いますが、犬を連れてなかなか泊まれるところがない為、私は大満足でした。建物は大分古くなってますが、中は綺麗で屋外にジャグジがある部屋もあります。おのおのが、バーべキュー楽しめるお宿です。場所はナビがあったほうが行きやすいのと、コンビ二も車で行ったほうが楽ですね。

Reviewed By bonvoyage519ドミトリーに一泊だけ泊まりました。 入った瞬間、おぉー✨ってなります笑 その広くてきれいな庭、昔ながらの日本の家屋、綺麗に改装された内装… チェックインの受付の女性がとても素敵な方で、この近辺の観光スポット、名所、この季節ならではの見どころなど、色々と話してくれました。 色々と話してくれるので、こちらからもつい色々と質問してしまい、なかなかチェックインが終わらないくらい話が弾みました? また、チェックインの時に、近所の観光マップをもらうのですが、そのマップ自体がブックカバーとしても使うことが出来るデザインになってます❗️マップも手書き風になっていて、可愛らしくなってます。 車を停める駐車場もあります。だいたい10台くらいは停められると思います。 もしバスで来る場合は、バスの本数がかなり少ないので気をつけた方が良いです。自分も夕方16時台のバスで来ましたが、確かそのバスを逃したら、その日はもうバスは走って無かったような…と言っても過言ではないレベルです? こんな具合に、交通の便こそ悪いですが、でも鳥取は良いところだなぁって思います。 ここに泊まり、鳥取の一部を観光して思ったのは、里山良いな〜ってこと。 来ればきっと分かるはず笑✨ そして鳥取来るなら、ここはオススメです✨
