Reviewed By Carmen6868My husband and I stayed at this foyer for the weekend. I can’t praise it enough. Family run hotel offering good size bedroom with balcony overlooking a small river. Very comfortable and above all - very clean. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Best of all, the owner is also the chef and the one night we dined in the hotel, we were given tasty meal made from home grown or locally sourced produced. LOVED IT. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the small town. They also offer a bar with German wines and other drinks, based on an honor system. We will definitely always stay at this hotel during any upcoming visits.

Reviewed By Explore07168308451Stayed here during a business trip. Room was clean and nice and big size. Bathroom was clean but a bit small. The room was not warm. Bed was soft but not so good for me. Room had good equipment and a nice TV. Overall it was a good room. Breakfast had a little to few choice but Coffe was good!

Reviewed By dmpd2021It's a very good hotel: not too big but still charming. The staff was helpfull. The room was nice and clean. The cleaningteam was very polite. The breakfast was OK. The restaurant was very good. It was a pleasure to take a swim in in the pool.

Reviewed By Elliot PNot sure this deserves the four star rating it claims to have. Rooms are very dated and feels like it’s missing some basic amenities... kettle in room and fridge. It’s otherwise very comfortable. It has a great pool and kids breakout area.

Very good hotel, great area
Reviewed By Laurentiu MI was here for one night during a business trip and was ok. Staff is friendly. Decent room, very clean, big balcony. Even i had a room with parking view, was very silent even i slept with open window. Breakfast is very good. Don`t know about wifi, i am using roaming data is safer for me.

I think we were treated better by the staff at this hotel than by some places we've stayed that cost far more. If you need a hotel in the area, do not hesitate to stay here. This hotel is very well run and you can just tell by the way things happen.

Pricey, but Worth it
Reviewed By JanBerlinVery, very good family run hotel. Our renovated comfort double room came with a steep price (for a provincial town like Bad Mergentheim), but was totally worth it! Room was quiet, beautiful, spacious, cleverly designed when it came to storage spaces and had a large balcony with views on the Tauber river. Breakfast buffet was lavish with lots of local specialities and made to order egg dishes. Just as good was dinner which we had to the outside terrace. Bar service was also pleasant. The hotel's small spa with different saunas and steam rooms was nice and relaxing. The property offers a number of convenient extra services such as an E-bike charging station. That said, it was even more surprising that - for the aforementioned rather high price paid - there was no free water bottle upon arrival and that they would charge for bathrobe and slippers. But that was just a little irritation during an otherwise great stay. DasSchaffers is highly recommended!

Charming Hotel with Good Restaurant

A family owned and operated hotel and restaurant that is very well run. If you are used to big chain hotels, which you cannot find in towns like this, it will be a change for you, but is very comfortable and affordable. A complete breakfast is included. Staff are super friendly. You can also eat very well in the restaurant for dinner. I had a wonderful duck dish last evening as well as a traditional German soup.

Well located with free parking and great breakfast
Reviewed By MStanleyLondonDeutschmeister is on a side street off the main square so really well placed for wherever you want to go in the town. Our room was in the main building and was a little noisy when the window was open but otherwise very comfortable. The parking at the back was free and very secure with no need to reserve in advance. The owners were very friendly and hospitable with a mutual admiration for classic cars (some of the rooms are themed as such) which struck a chord. Breakfast was extensive, with fresh fruit, meat, cheese, pastries, eggs and smoked salmon. We enjoyed our stay and if we were in the region again would definitely go back

The cosy Boutique Hotel is located in the City centre, near the Deutschordensmuseum, the beautiful Kurpark and many small shops in the historical "Altstadt". We have two room categories, comfort and DeLuxe/ Superior. Superior Rooms have large bathrooms and some of them balcony. There is an elevator in the hotel, also a parking garage. Althogh situated in the City centre, the rooms are very quiet. Our Restaurant is open daily in High Season, so is our spa with Sauna, steambath, facials and massages upon request. Bike travellers are welcome! Many Sightseeing hot spots of Germany are in the very neighbourhood, like famous Castles, the Romantic Road and beautiful landscapes.

Reviewed By Fiona_MayneWe stayed in the "Dolche Vita" room, which was nice. The hotel is very central. For such a small hotel, it had a good choice at breakfast. We did not use the spa facilities, so cannot comment on those. It was good to be able to park in the garage.
