We are a hotel with an over 220 year old family tradition. Our hotel is surrounded by a beautiful black forest nature. Our rooms are modern and very comfortable with a nice view. In our restaurant we serve traditional dishes and modern fresh cuisine. Our big wine cellar has a large selection of around 500 different wines from countries all over the world.
Good food but got cheated with the wine
Reviewed By Léti MWe had a family reunion at the Lamm. We picked a decent wine. The first bottle was to the satisfaction of everybody. The second bottle was poured into the glasses of the first bottle without somebody having tasted it or even being asked. And of course it had a failure. We asked the sommelier and the owner to taste it. Both confirmed that the wine had a failure. But they argued that the failure was not so big and with the margin they charge on the wine it would be inappropriate to refund it. They insisted strongly to charge the wine. After a long and unpleasant discussion we finally paid the wine. We will never return again.

Reviewed By ElodieK879Beautiful place. Room are spacious and clean. The spa area is small yet enough for « beginners ». Nice dining area and menu. Breakfast is great ! Staff is helpful. If not a German speaker, only English will go. Book massage well in advance… very limited schedule.

The Hotel Restaurant is well located in the city centre of Herrenalb close to the city of Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe. The historical Hotel is a perfect point to discover the black forrest national park.
Quaint
Reviewed By David FEaster weekend 2018: to be honest this hotel was exceptional value. The hotel and in particular the decor was dated but the couple who manage and run it welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is buffet style plenty of cereal fruit meats and cheese and bread as well as fresh coffee or tea and choice of juice. On the negative side Bad Herrenalb is okay for a couple of nights. A great place for walking the walk over the hill to Dobel with stunning views towards Karlsruhe and the Vosges are worthwhile. That said Bad Herrenalb doesn't have a lot more to offer, some of the cafes and restaurants only open at the weekend and the bar in town is a smokers paradise. Thankfully Karlsruhe and Ettlingen are relatively close by as are Baden Baden (the latter by bus). As a solo traveller I wouldn't make Bad Herrenalb my first choice perhaps with a partner it would be okay. The hotel has been around since 1856 has a lot of unused space is good value for money and probably has a fascinating history and it is possible that I would go back for a weekend.v

Reviewed By Ku RI recommend this hotel ideally situated to visit Baden-Baden and the Northern Schwarztwald. The owners and the staff are friendly, rooms are spacious enough and some of them give access to a large balcony, diner and breakfast are simple but tasty.

Reviewed By Hiran KIt's nice hotel to stay, the price was good, and the room looked very cozy, and clean. Really enjoyed my stay here, however whilst my stay there was some construction work that was going on and was very annoying, but there is notting that the hotel could do, when complained they immediately try to give me a another room that was in the opposite Couple of bad points where, the bed were very uncomfortable, and the breakfast variety was not good.

Fantastic value for money
Reviewed By Oliver SI arrived late, but got a message that I should just call. Which worked fine. And soon I received a warm welcome. The common room has a nice selection of self-service drinks. The single room was very clean including the bathroom. But the biggest plus was the rich breakfast the next morning. A fantastic start into a new day.
