Reviewed By ggm96822Down to the rubber ducks floating in the rooftop outdoor public pool, this Dormy Inn was identical to others in which I have stayed, including the television in the sauna, the rubber ducks, the free bowl of soba at bedtime, the mediocre breakfast, the tiny room (there's barely space to leave your shoes by the door) with very small window and useless closet, the pajamas, hairdryer, available washing machine and clothes dryer. Convenient location, a step up from many business hotels, but certainly nothing luxurious.

A relaxed, functional hotel. A place where you feel completely at home. An ideal base for business or sightseeing in Akita. The Limousine bus stop from Akita airport in front of the hotel. The Akita Shinkansen is also in service. The main site of the Akita Kanto Festival, one of Akita's traditional seasonal spectacles, there is held in the street in front of our hotel. Daiwa Roynet hotel Akita would like to serve as your base in Akita, whether your trip is for sightseeing or business.
No surprise and no disappointment
Reviewed By TWHKThis is my last stop of the trip in Tohoku. The hotel is more than 10 minutes’ walk to the JR Station, but only a few minutes’ walk to Senshu Park and the Akita Art Gallery. There is not a single café near the hotel for breakfast, so you’d better have breakfast in the hotel or walk to the JR Station. The hotel is a typical Daiwa Roynet, so no surprise or disappointment. Everything in the room is neat and clean. I could not book a bigger room which is always sold out, so I just had a double room. The room was big enough for me to open two medium-sized suitcases. I had to pack everything in after a ten days’ trip to return to Tokyo. I had no problem to do so in this room.

Reviewed By Robye144Bare foot hotel, you have to take off your shoes at the entrance, so all the workers also. Clean, confortable bed, good size rooms considering the average sqm in Japan. If you dont speak Japanese, you get little out even in the reception, look for Suki she can speak english. Here is all like Japan thirty years ago, when japanese was the only option.

If you don’t need to come here for business (and, thus, don’t need WiFi), then this is a great hotel. Very nice location. Good, clean rooms, friendly staff. Just don’t expect to use the internet during your visit. Free parking for hotel members.

Reviewed By underw00dPractical and efficient, though no marks for style. The communal baths were nice and spacious, with a rest area featuring addictive massage chairs. Problems dealt with promptly - full change of bedding when one of us suspected bedbugs, and the kitchen staff toasted my breakfast rolls in the kitchen when the oven toaster in the dining room failed to work. A real shame that there's no fruit on the breakfast menu when the local produce is so good.

I enjoy the hotel. Near restaurant Kui-doraku is very famous of its fried noodle. It is named Yokote-Yakisoba noodle. The shop get 1sr proze of Japanese B class food grandprix.

Cost-effectiveness in hidden local city
Reviewed By 大輔 木It was not my first time, but almost 20-year passed my previous visit. The place is worth visiting. Well-maintained facilities, dinner/breakfast and caring services by staff with very reasonable price. We thought the hotel is old and service was not enough as the price is cheap enough, but in fact that our initial expectation was wrong. I have stayed in many hotels and Japanese style ryokans for many times, I definitely recommend here if you want Japanese atmosphere with reasonably cheap price. You can upgrade the food and rooms but it would cost around 20,000 per room.

Reviewed By Teresa IFor such a reasonable price, this hotel is pretty good. The Onsen, free of charge for costumers, is amazing. The area is nothing special, but it takes No more than 6 min walking from the station. I do recommend it.

Turned out we picked a good choice, the rooms are very spacious by Japanese city standards and, while the decor and fittings are perhaps a little faded, the room was clean and tidy. If you're looking for a good value, centrally located hotel with a bit more space than the norm then would highly recommend.
