Reviewed By jonathanbristol1I have visited Baku for a few days and chose this hostel because of location, but was blown away as it was in mint condition! They told me that they were closed for 2 years because of Covid, but have now re-opened from May 1 and can't wait for Formula 1 to begin next month as they have balconies facing the track! Super cool dorms, and they also have private rooms with bathrooms for families and couples. Would definitely recommend to everyone coming to Baku, as it is a great budget accommodation option.

The building the apartment is in was built in the 1890s but has been recently renovated. It comes with high ceilings, beautiful wood latticed windows, and both parquet and tiled flooring. The place is great for entertaining plenty of guests and can accommodate 25 people overnight. We have 3 room tape. First Family room 2nd 8x Mixed Dorm and 14 x Mixed Dorm There is a kitchen for your use, standard bathroom, common area, a private courtyard.

Reviewed By simst2022Very terrible and dirty hostel the owner is a racist and have some permanent racist that lives there… and the hate is so intense and bigotry, if you a color person or you not white ( supremacy) just know everything you do there no matter how much you tried to be reasonable they still going to hate and kick you out with out decency or understanding.

Our hotel is located near the Metro station "Inshaatchilar". 10 minutes walking distance. There are 8 rooms in our hotel. 4 rooms with double, 1 rooms with 3 separate beds, 3 room for 3 persons. 4 rooms bathrooms and toilets are inside the room, 4 rooms in the corridor. Tea, coffee, wifi in our hotel is free 24 hours a day. The registration desk works 24 hours a day. Our airport transfer service is active. We offer one-and two-day tours to the guests at very low prices. In 2016 and 2017 years, our hotel was one of the cleanest hotels in Baku based on the reviews.

Reviewed By Lоkbatan Aконечно хостел неплохой слов нет,и огромный плюс что есть своя кухня,есть возможность что то приготовить,если успеешь занять свободную кастрюлю или сковороду,персонал очень доброжелательный,в комнатах соответствующая комфортная температура для проживания.не знаю работает телевизор или нет так как при включении не удалось настроить ни один канал.да он и не нужен когда город осмотреть некогда.Но огромный минус это расположение хостела.практически таксисты не знают адреса приходится все время совать под нос визитку с адресом.из города приходилось рано уезжать или добираться на такси потому что проблема с транспортом тоже возникала.Кому достанутся комнаты на 1 этаже тоже не позавидую.в местном менталитете закреплено до 3 часов ночи сидеть на стульях во дворе и о чем то говорить и довольно громко.У КОГО ЧУТКИЙ СОН ЭТО НЕ ДЛЯ ВАС.

We are located in a city historical center - Old City, near the Four Seasons hotel, within walking distance of one of the main city attraction – Maiden Tower. Easy access from the Neftchilar Avenue (entrance in the yard, near the roadway gate). You are offered 3 rooms equipped with AC system for 18 people (8 beds, 6 beds and 4 beds).

The hostel is super clean and organized and it is supper well located, right in front of the Old City and a few minutes walking from the center and the Boulevard. The hostel is a bit hidden behind the buildings of the main street but it is super easy to find. The greatest things about the place are not the ones mentioned above though. They have an AMAZING staff. Zahid and Latifa treated us better than our moms ?. So we highly recommend this hostel to everyone looking for a cozy, well located and affordable place in Baku!

Oil Boom Hostel Baku 1891
Reviewed By Matt_White101Stayed for 3 nights in the Double Room and was left very disappointed by our stay, we picked the place based on the positive reviews left on Booking.com and Tripadvisor and it was like we stayed at a completely different hostel as our experience/impressions weren’t positive at all. We were sent the self check in procedure on the morning of our arrival which we luckily saw when connecting to the Wi-Fi at Baku Airport when we landed, would've been best to receive it at least a day before travel especially as it had quite a lot of important information in it (especially as there is only someone at the hostel for a few hours in the early morning). When we arrived at the hostel and got inside, we was shown where the double room was by another guest staying at the hostel and as it was the only room there, we assumed it must be that one as we weren’t told anything in the email. The “Double Room” consisted of 2 single beds pushed together, we noticed a cigarette smell when going into the room and found a used cigarette in the bin in our room. The girl we were in contact with by Whatsapp from the hostel was apologetic and did deal with it efficiently so don’t have anything negative to say about her and when we did have to deal with her in person she seemed cheerful and nice. The double room was on the end of the corridor with the window looking out onto the street outside, quite a lot of noise came from the place opposite late at night. Wi-Fi was pretty temperamental, having to reset the router quite a few times during our stay which another guest did mention happens a lot. Location wise, it’s around a 5 minute walk to Fountain Square and 15 minute’s walk to the Old City, the nearest metro station Sahil is 10 minute’s walk away. There were 2 very, very small bathrooms next to the kitchen area, the showers weren’t great and water pressure was low. If breakfast is an important part of when you pick where to stay then definitely don't rely on this hostel as it's very basic and poor, once again read some positive reviews for it but was the opposite for us during our stay (more a snack than an actual breakfast and wasn’t anything like the picture of the breakfast shown on here). Just a few sweet rolls, little dry biscuits and tea bags/instant coffee sachets, the kettle wasn't in a good condition and could do with a major clean as it was covered in limescale. There were eggs in the fridge that you could cook yourself but there wasn’t the greatest amount of pans and equipment to do much with them unfortunately, plus the cooking area wasn’t exactly the cleanest of areas. The pictures shown on booking.com have been edited as in reality the place isn’t quite as bright and in the good condition it seems to show. Overall, it was a disappointing stay at Hostel Baku Oil Boom 1891 and we wouldn’t recommend unless you really don’t have any other options as it’s quite a cheap option and location isn’t too bad.
