King's Elephant Cabanas & Restaurant se trouve a 3 minutes a pied de la plage aux tortues, a 13 km de Mulkirigala, a 39 km d'Udawalawa et a 40 km de Mirrissa. L’hotel est un havre de paix ou vous pourrez profiter pleinement de votre sejour. L'etablissement se situe en pleine nature ou vous pourrez croiser au petit dejeuner des paons, des singes, ecureuils et nombres d'oiseaux. Lors de votre sejour, le personnel est toujours a votre ecoute pour vous satisfaire, avec leur sourire propre a la culture sri-lankaise. Vous pourrez prendre votre petit-dejeuner et votre diner dans le restaurant de l'etablissement, menus vegetariens a la carte et "barbecue party" improvise. Preparation de sandwichs pour vos excursions. Tous nos bungalows comprennent une terrasse bien exposee, un parking accessible gratuitement et nos chambres disposent de ventilateurs et d'une salle de bain privative pourvue d'une douche alimentee en eau chaude. Sur la plage, certaines nuits, vous pourrez observer les tortues venir sur ce lieu repute de pontes. Activites dans les environs : safari en bateau, surf, pratique de l'aviron, paddle, cayak, canoe, plongee sous marine et observer les baleines a certaines periodes de l'annee.

Reviewed By 289lizziewAwesome little setup, with a handful of cabanas and a two story, 4 room structure. Three years old, and run by a great group of young Sri Lankans. Nothing was too much trouble for them, ensuring that our stay was nothing short of idyllic. So quiet, with peacocks, iguanas, monkeys, a myriad of birds and mongooses (mongeese?!) wandering past your door. 300 metres to a deserted beach, which is not really a swimming beach, just a fun place to get smashed by waves! Evening meal should be ordered in the morning, to save you waiting! 15 minutes in tuk tuk to the busier strip of bars and restaurants: this place is not a party place, although the boys are a lot of fun, and love to chat and improve their English. Simple, clean rooms with good showers, mozzie nets, and wall-mounted fans. We spent six nights here unwinding after some full-on sightseeing in the hill country: awesome. Not really suitable for very small children due to location and the heavy waves.

Beach Front Chalet Joy!
Reviewed By Jadey711The Mangrove Beach Chalet is located on a private, beautiful streched on the beach. The chalets are large, beautifully decorated, well maintained and clean. The beach hut restaurant makes lovely food, and the super friendly and service minded staff gave us great recommendations on what was fresh for the day. We had asked for Milk and Honey, but they were out in the evening, the next afternoon they had fresh curd and treacle for us and they even helped us with late check out. We had a blast!

Reviewed By ayomijThis was the worst holiday stay in my lifetime. The villa is not maintained properly and very unsanitary. The staff is not polite. Food was terrible. Barbecue was not enough for the crowd. It’s not worth to spend a penny on this place. Wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone.

Reviewed By stevenc506Sun Style is a basic but decent, no frills homestay option. A bed with a mosquito net around it, separate bathroom. Clean but simple, fan room, no AC. The place is located a few mins walk from the famous Coconut Tree Hill & a 10 min stroll to the main beach with the decent on sand restaurants. Sun Style is also on the main road, although I didn't find the noise an issue... some might. The road also has many regular buses whizzing along to Matara, Galle, Unawatuna, Dalawella, Colombo etc. Mirissa is a cool place with a vibe by SL standards. WiFi at Sun Style is super fast, very quick. So if that's your thing this is a bonus. Laundry also taken care of for 500 RS. Breakfast (free) was nice, typical SL dishes. Last thing... the host. Extremely polite & helpful. A great guy for sure! Wonderful hospitality.

Chillenjoy is 300m from the best swimming area on Tangalle Beach. We have 2 brand new spacious cabanas, set up as double rooms and comfortably convertable into family rooms , with huge private bathrooms and verandas with armchairs and hammocks. Rooms have 1 king bed and 1 single bed, storage closet, clothes rack, ceiling fan, mosquito nets, a fridge and a kettle. 1 single bed can be added. In our restaurant we offer fresh, home-made food, traditional Sri Lankan meals and Western-style snacks. We can provide for special diets. Wifi is free.

Reviewed By Tine AThis is a beautiful place close to the beach. We didn’t stay here, but we like to. The owner is so friendly. We got lost and walked around this nice area looking for a Tuk Tuk, when a guy called us and asked if we needed help. Now we are sitting in his beautiful garden in the shade, waiting for his friend who is coming with his Tuk Tuk. The owner and his friends are working in the heat to make a wonderful family room and his Young a cute boy in his Batman t-shirt is smiling at us. We don’t know about the rooms, but we highly recommend coming here for the atmosphere and the people :)

We stayed in a room that had access to a kitchen, the fridge is so nice to have when it's hot and luckily the wall fan assured we slept well. Didn't even hear much of the traffic from the main street as it's tucked away up a lane. Did I mention the cutest resident Labrador dog!

Facing an open and quiet garden with daily birdsong in a coconut grove a short way from the main road with four immaculate, tastefully furnished, large ensuite rooms. Large double bed and all linen provided. Breakfast and dinner on request. Arrive as guests and leave as friends.
Great place for a relaxing holiday
Reviewed By haBartekVery quiet, relaxing and peaceful place, like vacation in the countryside. Big, new and comfortable room with big bed. Good fan. Good place for longer stay. We spent here two great weeks. Very nice and friendly owners. You can order breakfast and dinner (very big and tasty). You can rent motorbike and order tuk-tuk ride. Owners help with everything. Adorable dogs. 5 min walk to Plantations beach, 10 min to Lazy Left. Everything was great. There are two things worth to know. None of them is dependent on Coconut Grove owners. In Sri Lanka people burn trash (plastic bottles and other) and even if these owners don't do it their neighbors do and very often it smells horrible. The place is close to railroad tracks. There are few trains passing by every day. But it's still more quiet and peaceful option than staying in other place closer to the main road which is far more noisy. We tried both so we have a reference point :)

Kind service with comfortable rooms
Reviewed By eeliinaaWe enjoyed Methusha so much we wanted to extend our stay there. The room was a bargain, and for a very cheap price we got a clean and beautiful room. It does get quite hot inside once the sun starts shining in, so then you know it's time to hit the beach, which is conveniently located just across the main street. Sleeping in the room was very comfortable as there was zero noise from outside. The breakfast was made for our liking, which was very kind of the owners. We also used the laundry service and bought tickets to Chaminda's Whale Watching Tour (five stars for them as well). So far this was the best guest house we've stayed in! We even felt a bit saddened to leave Methusha and Mirissa behind...

Reviewed By Blebla23Place at the beach and pretty close to very nice silent beach. 10 min walk. Room is ok for price and we had pretty good fish for dinner. Host helped arange visit to turtle watch and surfing lesson. Both also recommended. Good place for this price.
