Leaves A Lot to Be Desired
Reviewed By wallyworld2017We arrived with our group and were show to cabana 4 on the first floor It appeared to be clean but dated. On closer inspection, the slider and window did not lock, the towels were threadbare, and there was barely any heat. The owner did not seem to be very concerned with our safety or comfort. We asked to be moved to another room. This room had better towels but no heat and a broken window. During the day, this is a nice location across from the beach and near nice restaurants. At night the location is very noisy for the same reason. I suppose this would be an acceptable place for young surfers or families who want to be near the beach

Great place to get in contact with nature with a conscious ecological twist
Reviewed By Andreits_ChileIf you want to get in contact with nature and with your soul, this is a great place to do so. You can see whales and dolphins (we only saw whales) and recharge your batteries listening to friendly birds. Karin & Paulo are an amazing couple and the greatest hosts! We loved their ecological proposal and how the tent and its amenities flow with the environment. The space has everything you need: a small cooking area, a clean ecological bathroom with a nice hot shower, comfortable bed and great local amenities such as hand made shampoo and shower gel. The breakfast is delicious, Karin is a great cooker and the view while you are eating is priceless. If you want to fully relax while listening to the sea waves, you can schedule a massage with Daniela.

Beautiful overlook of Elqui Valley
Reviewed By oilybohunkWe spent a long holiday weekend at Cabana Mira Elqui. I was hesitant, as there weren't any recent reviews. Evidently, they have just gone through a remodel, and it showed. The cabanas were really nice, and the view was stunning. The centre of the village is easily accessible by foot (about 1 km), and there is a great little restaurant (Colores de Pisco) and Artesanal Distillery (Dona Josefa de Elqui) about a 300-400 mtr walk. It had a full kitchenette, breakfast to the room, and nice wood burning stove. There was a major power outage while we were there. The manager gave us a flashlight, and the break from electricity took away some of the light pollution to allow a better view of the stars. I highly recommend the place, but I would caution anyone with restricted mobility. The cabanas sit high on a hill, and getting to your room could be a little challenging. The driveway also takes some manoeuvring to navigate. The young lady that manages (possible owes the place) only speaks Spanish. However, she speaks very clearly, with a little working Spanish, we were easily able to understand each other.

Wonderful retreat
Reviewed By LH100Indomito Elqui is a beautiful, away from it all retreat, and Pauli is a warm, generous host. The cabins are simple but lovely, and fitted with everything you need. There’s a gorgeous “beach” area by a natural river pool with lounge chairs and seating areas. It really is a place to get away from it though. There’s no electricity, and you’re a few miles from the local mini market, so arrive stocked up and ready to relax and take in the scenery and the stars!

Se encuentra armonía entre descanso, silencio, buena atención (Carly y Frida excelentes anfitrionas) y noches con un magnifico mar de estrellas. Días de cielos azules perfectos. An amazing place for couples that want rest and escape from the city's noise. Perfect to meditate and read the pending book you have in your nightstand cabinet. Carly and Frida gave us a perfect attention. Special mention to the core of this beatiful place; the blue sky and the spectacular nights of stars where you can see the Milky Way in all its glory.

The Astrocamping Experience is located in the heart of the beautiful (and magical) Elqui Valley, in the town of La Campana (10 min from Vicuña). Surrounded by hills, mountains and nature, the place offers peace and tranquility. The Astrocamping Experience has 8 sites for tents (camping area), and a fully equipped shared cabin with 3 bedrooms, terrace, barbecue area. Furthermore there are 4 bathrooms with hot water, 2 grills, 2 kitchens with 3 refrigerators, and plenty of relaxation spaces (rocking chairs, hammock, and our famous firepit! ) You can enjoy the night by sharing around the fire or admiring some of the clearest skies in the world. The solar lighting of the camping is of low intensity for an optimal observation of the stars. Many places of interest around: - Elqui River mountain trekking - Diaguitas petroglyphs - Guayacan craft brewery - Pisquerías - Astronomical observatories - Therapy centers, museums, budist temples and more...Vicuña 10 km away, Pisco Elqui 30 km away. Private and group tours are also offered (with Luna, our tour guide dog, or we can help you organize any other activity (bike tours, trekking, astro tours).

Reviewed By 953ivarsAmodor and his sweet dog Luna are the best. Our intention was just to sleep here and then continue our trip. But everything changed...in a positive way. Perfect place, good showers, wifi and a lovely host who gave us wonderful tips and even better legendary spiritual stories at the campfire!
