Reviewed By janshellzyWe had dinner in the restaurant, pork medallions in a creamy sauce, which was delicious and just what we wanted after a days driving to Rauris. We were made to feel welcome and the staff are very friendly. Clean and tidy restaurant, with a good atmosphere. I would recommend a visit.

Reviewed By SarahinCyWe booked a family room last minute. How lucky we were to book the Platzwirt. Our room was clean and had an amazing view of the valley. We arrived at 9:30pm and received a warm welcome. The location of the hotel meant we could walk into the centre of the town. The spa room was just big enough and family friendly. Breakfast was delicious and all the food was plentiful. Fresh Semmel buns in the morning made a great start to the day. The variety of cooked meat, eggs and yummy bacon on the last day kept the whole family happy. Planning to return next year as this is a hidden gem.

Reviewed By alansO4390YCA lovely little hotel just on the edge of town. We had a top floor room in the back of the property and had a lovely view of the mountain. Breakfast was good for a continental breakfast and the host was always friendly. It was just a short walk to the ski bus outside hotel The only thing that I could say I would have liked is a kettle in our room so we could have a cup of tea without carrying it up 3 flights of stairs. The sauna downstairs was also nice but be aware that you are required to be naked.

Absolutely Amazing Hotel.
Reviewed By KrissapsterThis hotel is absolutely amazing. We managed to book a late skiing deal through Crystal Ski and was pleased to choose this hotel. To start with, the lady on the front desk, who I assume is the owner is one of the hardest working managers I have ever seen. She is up early in the morning for breakfast and is helping out with serving dinner in the evening. She never takes any time off. She runs an extremely tight ship and her staff are very professional and always smiling. The hotel room was really nice - think of a Travel Lodge style with an Austrian take. The beds were amazingly comfortable with crisp clean sheets and linen. Flat screen TV, table and chairs, phone etc. The bathroom was very clean. And the shower, OMG the shower was epic. Hot and like a rainfall - Epic after a days skiing! Now, the best part of the hotel was the food. We went for the half board option and I can’t stress enough how good the food was. The breakfast was a mix of cereals, fruit, yogurts, meats, eggs, cheese, tomatoes, fresh orange or apple juice, tea and coffee on tap and bread rolls. The food was replenished very quickly by the staff, who always seem to be smiling. The evening meals were nothing short of amazing. The salad bar was plentiful and uniquely Austrian. The soup each day was freshly prepared and not from a packet. The main meals were beautifully cooked and presented - each night was a different dish. There were special themed occasions from candle light dinner to local market food to chefs special. The puddings were awesome each night. I can honestly say that the food from this hotel is some of the best food I have ever tasted. I actually came back from this skiing holiday weighing more than I did at the start of the holiday. There is a bar area so if you fancy a beer after dinner… The staff are all very helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is a big heated ski room for your ski equipment which has a separate entry door so that you’re not traipsing though the hotel with your ski equipment. You can access the ski room from inside the hotel in the morning. The ski room is locked at 8pm and is fully secure. We didn’t make use of the swimming pool or the sauna but to be fair, after a day skiing and epic food, we just vegged out in front of the TV. There is free Wi-Fi which is fast and reliable. This hotel is so good that we have booked to come skiing here again in Jan 2023.

Reviewed By 519namanrThis was a lovely trip to Austrian Alps.I Personally enjoyed the view of the majestic mountains.The owners were extremely generous and they helped us out.They also had passes that gave you a discount on the ski lift which led up to the summits of the Hohentauern National Park mountains.The scenery was exquisite and we're sure to be back.

Excellent location and charming owner
Reviewed By David SOriginally booked only room available but just before we arrived one of the other rooms with balcony became available. On arrival we were shown both and given the option to choose the one we wanted. Owner could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Rooms were clean, excellent facilities and well equipped for self catering. Great central location. Will definitely be booking again next year.

Verder prima bediening, gezellige zithoeken en voor als het mooi weer is een heerlijk plekje buiten in de zon!

Reviewed By 189berndkWir waren einige Tage in Bucheben in dieser Pension. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Unser Zimmer bot besonders morgens zum Sonnenaufgang einen wunderschönen Ausblick. Da wir Halbpension gebucht hatten, wurden wir morgens, Nachmittags und Abends köstlich und reichhaltig verpflegt. An diese schöne Woche im Rauriser Tal werden wir bestimmt oft und gern zurück denken.

Fantastic stay
Reviewed By laura cI stayed here for 1 week with my Fiance. The double room was a decent size and we had a big balcony. The room was very clean. We had bed and breakfast. The breakfast was continental which was breads, cheeses, cake and selection on cereals. We ate dinner and it was really good we had spag bowl! I would really recommend this hotel next time i visit i will stay again. Its only a few minutes walk to the slopes as well!
